In the late 1920s, aircraft designer R.J. Mitchell basks in the glory of his revolutionary mono-planes, claiming trophy after trophy. However, a fateful holiday in Germany, just as Hitler seizes power, shakes Mitchell to his core. Gripped by a foreboding sense of urgency, he realizes that the future of Britain hinges on his ability to conceive a wholly innovative fighter plane. Thus begins his quest to create what he dubs the Spitfire, driven by a deep conviction that its design holds the key to Britain's survival in the turbulent times ahead.
