Wow, it seems so early for snow, but it is almost Thanksgiving. That hay wagon is great for firewood. I like anything that keeps it off the ground. I have a practice that I never let wood tough the ground once I pick it up once. Too much bending over for me.

Hi Phil! That hay rack is awesome. I’ve used it for 5 years now. Best little investment I made. It needs a new deck, but it will do for now. Anything anyone can do to make work easier, means they will be able to do that work for a long time. That’s the goal here… longevity! Thanks for watching my friend! WST

I have 55acres in Au Gress, MI that butts up to state land on the North and West side and there were a lot of people hunting the north side November 15. That morning A guy (trespasser) just comes walking through my woods waving his flashlight a 100yds in front of where my friend was hunting, my friend yelled and the dude just kept waving the flash light and walking farther in then turned his flash light off, soon as the sun came up my friend heard a shot from over that way, not sure if it was him or not. Some people have no respect and they also shoot anything and everything they see. Good luck hunting Mike, stay safe

Hello Shallow Pockets Acres! I agree. It does not bother them much, but does alter their path. They like to cross through the woodyard Olin to the state land. More faster=better. I used a homemade splitter my father built in the 80's for years, single stage pump 5hp. Finally had to retire the old girl (gifted to a nephew). Heck, the deer on my property don't even hardly bat an eye at chainsaws and splitters anymore. Enjoyed the vid.
@WSTMike
@WSTMike 2 года назад
Hi Bill! I thought more faster sounded more fun 🤣 Would I be able to convince you I was an English major in college??? 🤣 I’m struggling with keeping it or moving on in regards to the splitter. It has sentimental value for sure. The deer here I so used to be also. When I’m in the woodyard they do tend to vary their normal path. So, that’s what I was doing. Thanks for watching my friend! WST

When you say cord of wood ( 6 ) I assume you mean face cords ! A cord of fire wood is a neatly stacked 4 foot x 4 foot x 8 foot - 128 cubic stack of wood !
@WSTMike
@WSTMike 2 года назад
Hi Debbie, when I said 6 cord I did mean 6 full cord (3 face cord each) In an earlier video I did took bigger rounds, noodled them and then split them into boiler wood. I got 2 face cord out of 4’ tall x 13 feet. That is how I guessed 6 cord. It may be closer to 5 full cord when I’m finished. Thanks for watching.

@WSTMike 2 года назад
Hi Garrett. I appreciate your comment. If previous videos I explain this splitter was my grandfathers and is 50 years old. I have upgraded a few things on it. Slowly working to get it much, much faster. The wood I was splitting is not common for me. I usually work with 18” to 40” rounds. That’s what I have a lot of. A kinetic splitter would do me no good. I’ll work on this one and finish my other splitter build. I don’t sell wood, so I’m not in a hurry per say. Keeping the operation at ZERO debt. Thanks for watching. WST
