Another short demonstration video from Spooky's Jump Scare Mansion where we encounter one of the most underrated specimens in the entire game, Specimen 7. This specimen is very unique because it's one of two specimens in the game that ONLY chases once, and will only appear in this part of the game.
In Room 410, you will meet a semi-friendly cat who will give you cryptic warnings about Specimen 7. Upon entering Room 411, Specimen 7 will start chasing from behind. This specimen is essentially a wall of flesh, with appearances of distorted corpses. Although it moves fairly slow and it's easy to run away from, it is an instant kill if it catches up to you. The rooms starting in Room 411 are very maze-like, and you must find your way to the door in each room before Specimen 7 consumes the entire room. The faces and symbols on the walls are created by the player's mind under the influence of Specimen 7, and are only there to distract the player.
Typically, the chase itself will last anywhere between 9-18 rooms. Room 428 is the last possible room Specimen 7 can chase in, which is what happened in this occasion. (Also, a texture glitch occurred in Room 429...just one of the many minor glitches/bugs in this game.)
Specimen 7's appearance seems to be a reference to Giygas's final form from Earthbound. And its theme song is one of my favorites in the story mode. It's just so catchy!
