"That feeling of the engine response, is a very important part of driving a car. If you don't feel that it's fun, the sound, the way it feels, then you might as well just drive a hybrid."
Alex K im similar too. I love cars and fishing. Japan is the best in the world in both. IMO. was suppose to go this year for the olympics but plans had change. Im going there in 2021. My buddy went there 2019 and the first thing he said was how polite the ppl were.
There’s a used panty vending machine in front of the garage.... everyone goes home after a hard days work and watches people get kicked in the nuts on some tv games how. They’re weird AF.
Why this channel doesn't get millions of subs?? Why those other youtubers with (I bought the cheapest supercar) or (I bought a wrecked supercar) have a lot of subs?? They don't deserve that IMO These guys are really MASTERS. Support this channel please.
Honda cars have gained a bad reputation among casual tuner fans but people who love racing, who love cars, know they're beautiful pieces of engineering. Amazing show by the way!
What an amazing video. All the elements from explaining, to simply being mesmerized by the beautiful craftsmanship, really made this video excellent. I also enjoyed the outro of you sitting on the floor in front of the NSX. Thank you!
i came here by myself once. I was the only person in the shop. The workers were all on lunch at the time but they completely don't mind me gawking around. As a matter of fact, they left me all alone with their cars as they disappeared into their lunch room. I was stunned at how trusting they are of strangers just coming into their shop. I'm sure they are used to it but this amount of trust cannot be found in the US.
Honda really are an amazing manufacturer. They make their cars with their own chassis and engines. The latest NSX has a hybrid 4WD layout first seen in the Porsche 918 hyper car, now also used by the Ferrari SF90. They have probably the best FWD car available atm. The S2000 is still competitive and used as the base in many time attack cars, same goes for a lot of their cars made in the 90's and early 00's. The legendary NA chassis NSX doesn't even need any explanation. They make some of the best superbikes. They are the only Japanese manufacturer to make F1 engines, yes they had reliability issues at first as expected because they started late, they have sorted out their reliability issues and now have multiple victories over names such as Mercedes AMG and Scuderia Ferrari. The Power of Dreams.
What impressed me the most is how everything is perfectly laid out clean while building an engine. Being a customer most be great to see that. But that’s everywhere in Japan with their culture of respect.
Went here right now before Covid hit and loved it! The employees were super cool and friendly and gave me an antique / old newspaper of spoon sports from back in the day
You're videos completely align with my views on JDM cars. Please continue to do more videos like this. It's slowly becoming a lost art that I believe must be cherished.
Echoing the sentiments of others on here that these videos are a breath of fresh air. Great balance of genuine enthusiasm and technical knowledge. Hopefully a visit to STi is in the works!
i wish my fk8 could go there for a full Spoon tune up, if i won the lottery would send it there without hesitation! love your videos thanks for the great content
If you want a good laugh, turn on the auto-captions when they start speaking Japanese. I am damn near in tears....Great vid as usual. Best new channel I have found.
Was in Tokyo 2 week ago and am absolutely gutted that I didn't have the time to visit Type One. Thanks for the vid, guess this is as close as I get to visiting physically.
Fantastic! Brilliant! Bravo! I’ve always wanted to see this place and it is absolutely fantastic! Thank you so much and can’t wait to see more!!!! ✌️😜👍
When I drive my s2000 I feel like it’s the automotive equivalent to a freshly tuned piano. The engine feels so taught, as if it was assembled to fine tolerances. Whereas my Subaru’s feel more rough around the edges. They may have more horsepower but the overall feeling you get is far more overwhelming in the Honda. Enjoy the i.c.e folks, it’s a marvel of human engineering and it’s days are unfortunately numbered.
My modified lawnmower runs for about four hours on A tank of fuel. 0.2 of A gallon of gas. It takes my brother's electric lawnmower 4 to 5 charges to match the run time of one tank of fuel. Reduce knock, advance ignition timing, increase compression and add water injection. Just A few modifications that can be made to engines that make them competitive with EV efficiency. A list of modifications to my lawnmower is on my page so people can replicate my results if they want to.
More horespower doesnt make the subaru quicker than the Honda type r though, the type r is actually quicker than the wrx sti by .1 of a second over the quarter mile. Its not much but the type r still beats the sti
It is fascinating to see the Spoon workshop and old racecars. I’ve recently bought an 1992 Civic EG hatch (VTi) with 245.000 km on it. My plan is to get it as good as new with a couple of small modifications for better driving experiance. 😊
Type one-Spoon is just an amazing Honda tuner indeed if you like EG6 Civic, EK9 Civic Type R, NSX, DC2 Integra Type R, FK7 or S2000 there is no alternative tuner..
When only the BEST will do HONDA won't let you down, Because It was Designed and built with Pride, I know because I own 5 Honda civics 2001 through 2005, Three of them will still get you there. Thanks For your excellent Video info etc it's Great.
great vid man, keep it up!! "its not about big powers, its not about quick lap time, its about getting the car to handle in such a way that make you confident to drive it faster" that is so well put, it about that balance, that trust, and most importantly enjoy driving said vehicle! always been a honda fan since young, but only have owned my first Honda, an base model EK1 for about 4 year, did little bits and pieces to it over the years, including changing the seat like 5 time (all oem honda, from different model of prelude and integra ect, coz factory ek seats sux), also dropped a B18B2 in while everyone was screaming at me "put a B18C vtec in brah!!! it's much better and faster!!!", but i am like yah nah vtec is not what i want or need, yah i am weird i know lol. But yah, the B18B2 is not fast in any regard, but it is just enough to have a bit of fun, and not have to worry about accidentally breaking the very strict laws of Melbourne, still got a few things i need to do, been trying out different intake setup for the pass month trying to find that better torque band, little things like, trying to make it drive closer and closer to how i imagine it should be
I really appreciate. It's really nice workshop. It is looks like car lab. Very impressed. I m expecting Faruk's presentation for the next video. Thank you so much Captain Stanford. It was awesome video.
