Welcome to the 7th episode of my Sporty build. In this episode, I cleaned up my bars by relocating the start/kill switches. In addition, I got rid of the second throttle cable by installing the Biltwell Whiskey Single Cable Throttle assembly.

Interesting to see how relocating some switches and changing the throttle makes the bars so much cleaner. I look forward to see the long fork and skinny rear tyre combo.

Good work, bikes looking good. I have a similar starter button in a similar spot. No ignition switch just turn key push button.

Man u guys are lucky to have those different old classic bikes . We in INDIA are not so luckky. And with that we have 100-200 % import duties making it even more difficult and expensive.

One of the good reasons for having the kill switch in the handlebars is for instant access for your hands if/when you fall off the bike and you need to stop the engine instantly to prevent injury! A common practice on Racing and Competition motorcycles to comply with safety issues!! Take care, all!

Damn, yall got me back into bikes. Been binge watchin all the vids I missed over the last year and a half, and I got bit by the motorcycle bug again. Haven't touched or been even remotely interested in bikes since I wrecked my shit 2 years ago while lane splittin on 880. Looks like ima be in the market for a bike soon lmao.

you have some good ideas with your retro switchgear ( and i have a hot rodded speed triple with some questionable mods ...its got alloy fairing spikes all over it, i love them )...what i'd really like to see is some really cool minature LED indicators...there are so many excellent options these days.....I've done alot of miles in heavy traffic and i've been airborne four times, whacked by cars...i try to ride systematically, but being whacked by cars, seems to be a rite of passage in Sydney.

I have a automobile type (on/off & starter) ignition. I bought a smaller black front master cylinder from TC Bro’s I think. So far so good for $80. Btw how’s your friend’s shovel project coming along? The guy that also has a pan and knuckle. Keep up with these “hands on” Harley vids. Ride safe!!!

Looks good. Definitely has a old school look. Do you need safety check in California or is it only emissions? I live in Maui and My bike wouldn’t be legal without turn signals, horn, high beams and hazards.

Use yellow led tape around your fork tubes near the headlight. Clean and discreet.

I know this is an old vid, but I'm doing the same thing on my 2020 Sportster 1200 and cannot for the life of me figure out which wires go where. Stock housing has 5 wires, CAN high / low (red/white, red/black), black (ground), red (battery fuse), and white/grey (engine stop switch)....any idea? Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Can u just tie the kill switch and start straight together so they are Always on I have a pushbutton switch on my starter wanna get rid of control will that hurt anything or can i wire start together and put toggle switch on kill switch to kill wann get rid of ignition

Well shit....got the the switches and all but my sporster is a 2015 so the run and start are wired to a little computer board instead of wired individually. Wondering if it would still work if I cut the wires
