This concept in reverse would've been funnier. Six people who hate Disney and a Disney fan who has to successfully and convincingly shit on Disney the whole time without getting mad or defensive.
i mean to be fair, it's a pretty common "hot take," especially if you are from somewhere disney's economy is super influential in the area (orlando, but im assuming cali and other places are the same way.) i dont think they were saying they don't want employees to have rights; just that it wasn't specific enough for the purposes of this discussion lol
Personally I was suspicious towards him there just because it seemed like a cop-out to criticize the company rather than saying something about the movies. It made me think he was not sufficiently familiar with the movies to have a hot take so he just targeted the company instead. Of course it was totally legit criticism, but it was the type of criticism even a non-fan would be familiar with, you know? So he wasn't wrong by any means, it simply was not a convincing way to prove he was a Disney fan.
I could have sworn the mole was a fan. She did well, she basically was a caricature of Disney adults. They accepted her as their own, which I find brilliant
Shes really nothing new imo. Any disney fan with half a brain can talk their head off about disney but still recognize how fucked up the company itself is. She clearly loves the art but not the corporation
OH NOOOOOOOO!!! I have two girlfriends, but very few people on YT are happy for my relationship success. They disl*ke all of the videos I make with my 2 girlfriends. Please be kind, dear raf
I mean, is it that weird tho? They didn't kick him out because he talked shit about the company, but because they HAD to choose one person, and it's a better choice to kick him out instead of the person who completely nerds out about Disney
Well it actually happened before in Odd Man Out history... For the BTS Fan v Hater ep, one of them showed their tattoo of the letter "V" which is also the stage name of one of the members. And she was voted out but was not the mole. Poor girl lol
My guess is that it would be against the rules since you could just show it at the start and then you would be safe no question and the thing about these videos is trying tu sus them out
@@wolfxoxo2555 yeah, but a V is very vague and could mean anything. They could have thought it might represent something else and she just got lucky that the letter V has something to do with BTS.
As a Disney adult I wholeheartedly agree with him. To me the Cast Members help bring the magic of the Parks out. They do so much and get treated so poorly. It breaks my heart. Whenever I go to Disneyland I do my best to treat them like superheroes. I'll compliment them on their hard work and tell them thank you for bringing the magic. Even just saying, "Good morning" with a smile. I believe they need to be paid A LOT more and should be treated so much better by their employers and guests alike.
This is why I have difficulty liking things. As soon as I find someone who likes something as much as me they're always an ass about it. I just want to have my special interest in peace T-T
Lol for real, alot of weirdos spawn in and are from LA. Like it goes beyond just not being a normal regular human being, they get angry and defensive and are shallow. But then again thats probably certain parts of LA.
Finally someone mentions how the "nerd" community tries to out nerd each other. I'm someone who has some nerd hobbies like Japanese street fashion and gaming but the amount of gatekeeping I've ran into in both... Omg it's crazy
@@witchingbrew3 same with comics, i’ve been talking to people online and irl and jesus christ they get so weird when you say you haven’t read a certain amount of comics or a specific one. or just don’t know an insanely unknown fact. sorry that i haven’t read it out of the thousands there is to pick from?? let me enjoy this please
@@nathanyarborough7519 anti racism has existed for thousands of years, it was only recently that it hit mainstream yes, but that doesn’t mean it didn’t exist, people standing up for poc’s basic rights have existed for a long time
As a Disney fan, the mole is right. She criticizes Disney as a company for their bad decisions. Many Disney fans don’t agree with Disney’s actions. Every company has its problems.
@@izstrella oh she probably has, i honestly really feel so bad for her for being so young and having such insane hate thrown by millions of strangers at her for that video💀😔 hope she's ok
@@izstrella preeeeetty sure she was never self centered to begin with. At the start she seems very likeable and reasonable. You gotta remember these are teens being pitted against each other to figure out who gets a cash prize. They *all* want it, they *all* think they deserve it, and she got kicked out and got a lil spiteful cuz she lost out on the money. This is why we don't play 'lord of the flys' with the youth lol. But she even recognized it herself after the show and said something to the effect of "I did *not* think I was gonna act like that". That tells me she was self aware and regretted it, so she doesn't do it all the time.
Bruh that chick who won made some major saves in the process. She survived the first tie decision by only one vote, and then brought up the discussion about what Goofy actually is. This essentially solidified her as a Disney fan in the minds of everyone else. She then just interjected now and then when needed and coasted to the end. Boss player.
i'm still confused about that because we find out later that guy wasn't the mole so why did he say that ?! It implies he specifically chose Frozen because he thought everyone likes it and he wouldn't be suspicious for this. Everyone still gains the cash if they find the mole even if you've been eliminated at some point so he had no reasons to lie. Why the fuck did he lie ?! Is his favorite movie like super racist or something ?
@@maurihundhundmauri5898 No I'm saying it looks like the guy lied about what his favorite disney movie was for no reason so since he wasn't lying about being a Disney fan, it begs the question of why he randomly lied about it ? Is it because he's ashamed of his actual favorite disney movie, is it one from the racist disney era ? That's what I meant.
See this could be a tricky one… because hating something has the same passion as loving something lol… so the person who’s the hater probably actually knows a lot so they have a lot to hate
as soon as that girl said that she was finally considering getting an annual pass everyone should have been sus of her. i don't want to generalize, but a lot of disney adults in LA and surrounding areas are annual passholders. and the story that she told for her "most magical moment" was a funny story, everyone else had meaningful and emotional stories that you could see they really connected with.
When she said companies like Disney, that have so much influence over children, should focus on bettering the lives of those children not run them down for their money slapped me across the face
@@ohheyitsguy or didn't see a situation where it fit to mention it. so maybe the producers didn't tell him not to, although I was thinking they might have because it would make it too obvious that he's a real fan. don't know
Wait, but wasn't Eric's Disney hot take "Disney is unfair to its employees?" Isn't it a cop out for the hater to not hate Disney media but hate the company when one of the super fans on the panel holds the same opinion?
Disney haters are legitimate. I love Disney movies from the renaissance period, as a millennial. But I also don’t judge the haters because they are right. It’s a very exploitative company that gets away with a lot. I appreciate the animators’ artistic style, post racist period, and the film score compositions. They hire the best music composers that really create the ‘Disney magic’ that uplifts the young soul. But it’s still a flawed institution and too many people buy in to their cheap merch.
yeah, talk about flawed! people never give enough attention to the pedophilia stories involving disney. i just avoid consuming them these days, even though the renaissance movies were my entire childhood
@@owatson7648 Because buy purchasing things from them we support their continuation of behavior. They only change their ways when one threatens to stop going to their parks or whatever. Consumers are the reason for the thriving of any company.
I like how Eric’s hot take wasn’t even a hot take, it was just objectively true. Like yeah, Disney treats their employees like shit lmao. And he still got voted off.
“why would you choose hating on disney if you’re trying to prove you love disney?” i know it doesn’t make sense but i think this is a hallmark of being a disney fan lmfao
Cody: “I’m not a Disney adult” Also Cody: “hey look at my license that I carried in my wallet also these pics I still have on my phone oh and I still have the merch from Disney haha not a Disney adult tho!”
that's what I'm saying they didn't ask any hard questions, most people grew up on these movies and can at least talk about the basics Technically even the disney hater was a fan but just not a fan of the company (which NO ONE IS A FAN OF???)
@Sabah yeah exactly? most disney fans i know (myself included) are hyper-critical of the actual company but love the films/parks themselves. i feel like the general public has this misconception that anyone who loves disney media more than casually is some manchild who must not criticize them at all- and like, some definitely don't, but like everything else it's a very small amount who just still end up in all the videos about disney adults lol. if anything aya is the ‘real’ disney fan
Also couldn't you just be a super fan and then when you sign up to be on this, say you're a disney hater so you can just scam their system and win lmfao
When Cody said “like they would say the wartime era. Like who has seen the Three Caballeros.” I had to just be like damn..um..I’ve seen it. I grew up with it.
I imagine the difference between Goofy and Pluto is the difference between humans and chimpanzees. They both share a common ancestor but evolve differently
It's easy to pretend you're a disney fan in a state with a disney park (i'm assuming this is filmed in california). I'm originally from orlando florida, so disney world was very close by. In orlando, working at disney is pretty common. I got into disney world for free many times because I knew someone who worked there or had family who worked there.
Disney is an off-limits topic with my in-laws. I said ONE NEGATIVE THING about my experience in the parks and my sister-in-law wouldn't talk to me for the rest of the long weekend.
@@sawyer6264 We disagreed over the question of strollers being allowed in the parks. It was so miniscule. But she saw it as a bigger debate about whether the parks are for kids or for nostalgic adults. She thought I was saying that adults shouldn't go to Disneyland without kids.
My old assistant manager was really funny because he was this big, tough, cigarette-smoking guy, and yet he would just absolutely gush about Disney and had Disney tattoos all over, it was hilarious
@@SleepySummer the first person to get it! My mom knows a lot of Disney facts bc of me but she’s NOT a huge Disney fan lol she’d take me to Disneyland for me, not for her I’ve felt bad about my wording haha so thank u
Him talking about putting Pluto in a headlock brought back a very old memory. My family was at Disney World when I was still really young. I believe we were eating in a restaurant with the mascots walking around, and my sister told Pluto "Hey! Come here dog!" in a demanding tone. And after he came over she grabbed his tongue and starting yanking on it 😭🤣
My hot take would’ve been an unhinged rant that I believe that Walt Disney was cryogenically frozen and I know this because I heard muffled screaming from below the park whenever Disney releases those shitty live-action remakes and it’s Walt temporarily waking up because he could sense an extreme disturbance in his legacy
When I was like 6, I was so excited to see Winnie the Pooh at a character dinner to that point that I wouldn't get up to use the bathroom because I was scared I'd miss him... Long story short I ended up shitting my pants in the restaurant and there are pictures of me hugging the Winnie the Pooh character with an obvious, massive dump in my shorts... my family breaks them out at every event and still sings "Lucy took a Poo" to the Winnie the Pooh song after 16 years... that is my Disney Magic Moment.
My favorite era is the dark age when Disney almost became an indie studio because of how much money they were losing. They made Robin Hood during this time.
I don’t know shit about Disney but when she said “Auto-topia license” and Cody showed his and it just said “Autopia” I knew she was the mole. So they’re all posers. Lmfao.
I knew she was a fake by the way she said “auto-topia”!! I am an ex-Disney fan and I would always correct ppl by saying it’s autopia. I would have immediately eliminated her right then and there
I can not stop thinking about this, cody's sense of humor and line delivery has always reminded me of one of my professors like just the way they talk and react to things is the exact same and that professor worked at disney for years and made some of their biggest movies lol
i have never laughed out loud so hard at your videos until this one. all of your commentary was on POINT i was dying x) my favorite video you have, Cody
hot take but if you can't fully critique Walt Disney Co for the wrongdoings of the past (and present) then you really can't call yourself a fan or whatever. Then it's just blind fellowship and idolization. It's possible to love the magic of Disney while also holding them accountable!
Counterpoint from someone who used to work for Disney: Disney adults are largely childish and have zero desire to actually “hold them accountable” (anyone who says that says that never actually intends to do so apart from an angry tweet or two) who have fallen prey to propaganda and corporatism dressed up as “Disney Magic.” Get a life.
"I give my money, love and time to this racist, sexist, homophobic, greedy capitalist company that supports other companies that hurt the environment because I grew up watching it's retelling of already established children's stories. I also brainwash my children into loving this corporation, so when they grow up they repeat the cycle. Continuing to make that company wealthy simply because they were the first company to make children's books and folk tales into movies."- every Disney adult
6:06 What? I've literally wondered this since I was a young child still watching Micky Mouse Clubhouse. Also I thought he was a dog and we were just supposed to accept that he and Pluto are both dogs, but this cow business is compelling.
