Just ask Atmos to pump some plasma into distro too, just a little bit so you can condense it :) I'm sure they'd love to! Security might not like it as much though.

Another good way to use condenser is to get a CO2 tank from either atmos or RnD and condense + electrolyze it to get both carbon and oxygen. With how medicine recipes currently are, I frequently see chem running out of carbon half-way through the shift.

You can also just straight up get your supply from the rooms air with a passive vent. It doesnt really take enough to impact the breathability.

the most efficient way to fill a gas condesner is to use a volumetric pump. Just be careful with it because you might completely drain all oxygen from distro and atmos might get mad at you

Condensers are 10kw a piece to run, trying to run 3 on the same apc will pop the breaker. Do not run a condenser unless it is accomplishing something.

Atmos can also just make you homemade cryox by pumping plasma, oxygen, and water vapor into a condenser. I've done it myself!

cryoxadone is literally just water. dexalin - catalyse water with plasma water - self-explanatory oxygen - electrolyzed water

I prefer to extract the blood from space bears. Too bad I've never used cryo. I just drink the stuff straight and jump outside.

Interestingly, gas filters (which allow you to tap a specific gas from distro, waste, the room's atmosphere, or another mixed gas source for condensation) are trivial to build, but separating two reagents is... AFAIK not a thing with anything but a ChemMaster so far. This has implications for non-Chemistry chemistry, especially illicit Traitor chemistry. Assuming you can get your hands on a cryo board and a condenser, you can make a secret cryo setup in some kind of hideout, potentially even reanimate the dead (Syndie smokes, a material reclaimer, a syringe, and a microwave/hotplate allow Necrosol production. A defib will also be needed, and probably some medicines for bleeding [bandages/iron-or-copper-as-needed at least].) without ever going near Chemistry. Of course, maybe you don't want to use cryopods for their intended purpose, but rather do something else traitorous. I've never heard of Traitors taking hostages actually working out, but a hacked cryopod (disabling ejection, requiring a crowbar doafter to remove the subject) does seem like a good way to store somebody the crew badly wants back safely, in a way that can be made immediately much _less_ safe with the press of a remote signaller to toggle a couple signal valves. Or to take a body off your hands permanently without starting an open fire. Or first one, then the other! Experimentation shows it takes a reasonably long time to actually fully incinerate an Urist Mchands to ash using a canister of plasma and one of oxygen in a cryotube, though. I'm not sure how to find something flammable for fire-based traps/etc. without having atmos access anyways. Tapping the waste loop seems the most practical, but I don't think you can craft empty canisters so it's rather hard to store stolen gasses on the sly. Ammonia doesn't appear to have a fire reaction yet either, despite being a usable fuel in real life and the only 'flammable' gas it seems possible to 'culture' outside of the plasma ecosystem. I suppose by being toxic but not flammable it fills a unique niche in game terms... I really wish you could toggle reagent injection (ideally from multiple containers with some kind of upgrade) and eject the subject from cryopods remotely. Imagine a trap based on a zombie in a tube ejected after somebody enters the room! Really, the whole signal system shows promise but the variety of inputs/outputs seems limited so far. I suppose content comes slowly, with time and effort...

When you said "Chemists spawn with this by default" while talking about shift clicking the condenser, were you referring to chemical analyzers? Just getting back in after like a month hiatus so not too familiar. If so, how do I get some of those as a CMO?

wait, the condeser will turn everything from atmo (i mean distro) to liquid form? so if for example atmo for some reason put plasma to distro, condeser will produce liquid plasma?
