St. Louis Battlehawks Postgame Press Conference - Week 8. St. Louis Battlehawks Head Coach Anthony Becht full postgame press conference. Battlehawks Coach Anthony Becht took questions from the media following the Battlehawks 21-17 Overtime win against the Vegas Vipers. The Battlehawks vs. Vipers match-up was the first game in the XFL 2023 season to go to overtime. The Battlehawks were without Quarterback A.J. McCarron and were led by backup Quarterback Nick Tiano who threw for 194 yards and a touchdown to Wide Receiver Hakeem Butler. The Battlehawks also threw for a touchdown on a fake punt.

An awesome win for the Battlehawks. Congratulations to them.👏 Again they win as a team. That's what I admire the most about this team itself. They never give up and play till the clock hits 0 in the 4th Quarter..or even push themselves to continue onward through Overtime if need be. Also Anthony made the right call benching AJ today. Better one game then an entire season . ( In Week 7 the Brahmas Head Coach Hines Ward decided to continue playing there starting QB Kurt Benkert after he took a bad hit to the chest. Close to the end of the game Kurt took another hit to the chest. He is now out for the season because of this decision due to broken ribs. If Hines had pulled Kurt earlier that game he may still be playing.😞 Here's wishing Kurt a speedy recovery. ) Thanks again XFL.

Last week he got a nasty hit to the Shoulder. The Head coach decided to bench AJ just to make sure he heals up. ( AJ didn't even make the trip for this game. ) Good news is AJ should be back next week.

What exactly is McCarron’s injury? No details have been revealed. That seems weird to me. Otherwise, the game was excruciating to watch because it shouldn’t even have been close. But it turned out ok. Next week’s game is the big one though. If we beat Seattle again, we are definitely in the playoff game.

I love winning, I accept that we have to lose every now and then, but nothing sucks more than horrible play efforts. This team can be downright painful to watch in the first quarter, then they warm up and it gets really exciting. Hopefully there can be one game this season where we just kick azz but the Seadragons will be tough and I dont expect the guardians to just lay down.
