I’m rebuilding my Manco Dingo with a 9.5 HP Electric start Briggs & Stratton. I bought it new in 1995, and now I’m taking out the 16 horse I put in it. Go carts are so much fun to work on!

The stock idle jets are fine in a 212. Any other idle jet will make it run rich. Leave the stock idle jet in for best results

With a stage 1 kit you need the opened up jets or it will run too lean. You are correct though, stock engines shouldn't have bigger jets

@@BlakesBuilds thats only for the main jet, not the idle jet. Stock engines use the same amount of fuel at idle that a "Stage 1" uses

I have 4 small engines with at least a "stage 1" kit. They all have a .038 main and stock idle jet. Runs perfectly too. A bigger idle jet made them puff black smoke and not want to start at all

Hey man did you ever figure out how to fit the stock tank on? I’m trying to do the same build but I’m running into the issue of the tank being in the way

Yes I did find a way...you might not like it😅 I had to cut off the top part of the seat, then weld flat bar on instead. I show me doing it in the video if you need guidance in doing what I did. Kind of dumb, but that is probably the easiest way for the stock tank.

I have 2 mango dingos and one has a 6 horse tecumseh original engine and the other has the 6.5 horse power tecumseh and it runs like a dream.

How much would you say these go for? The manco go cart itself

I sold mine for around..600 I think. Without any engine swaps or mods like I did, you could get probably a good 500 for it. Depends on the tires, condition, etc.

I got an awesome deal on a manco rattler lxt which is kinda a larger upgraded version of the dingo. Found it on Craigslist for 100 bucks, front two tires hold air for 2 hours, back tires are fine, everything else works great. Got to keep searching hard if you want a manco.

What size tires on the front?

I know they are 6inches wide but I sold the kart so I'm not entirely sure the capacity. As long as the wheel is 6 inches wide you can put any capacity tire on it
