TBF there is no Lead Poisoning. All Insulated Drinking Vessels are made of an inner and an outer Shell. The Air between the two Shells is sucked out in the Production Process, through a Hole in the outer Shell. This Hole is then soldered Shut with leaded Solder. Because it is in the outer Shell, the Lead won't contact your Drink unless you completely smash your Cup.

I remember wanting to buy one of these cups because I needed a bigger water holder anyway and they looked pretty. And then I saw the price. And then I saw what's happening online. And I quickly changed my mind. I'm fine with my cheap plastic bottle, thank you very much.
When I finally decide to replace the water bottle I've had for frankly way too long (things are growing in it) but keep holding onto for sentimental reasons, I will go looking at Walmart.
There are plenty of double-walled metal style water bottles out there, even dupes of the Stanley. It's def not worth the price or hype. It's a cup. lol.

@@poppyalt7427 if your stanley gets damaged in that area it can release the lead in them.. i mean, people were demolishing their stanleys to test it for lead.. and lead is basically in every tumbler and portable water bottle imaginable (besides the hard plastic ones)
The whole lead thing is when it's at the bottom of the cup that comes in contact with the table you place your cup on so I wouldn't worry about unless you broke the bottom of the cup somehow and expose the lead to air. So, uh...don't drop the cup (oh gosh I read your side note those kids kept dropping it AAAAAA-). Look, I don't like the cup but I also know that batteries can be dangerous too if it breaks but we still use it lol so tbh I see the lead as a non-issue. The real issue is how people made it into a status symbol to bully people if they don't have it, not the cup itself, tbh lol.
@@Diamond1234 To be fair you don't put batteries near things you ingest and the moment a battery bursts you'd clean it all up quickly and toss them out. The status symbol and bullying is definitely a higher priority though for sure considering where the lead actually is, it can still be a secondary concern though
I currently am using an Owala and a generic plastic (reusable) water bottle.The plastic bottle has a fabric wristlet loop, so it's comfy to carry. I wish those Stanley peeps could think more practical like that, but they're probably only into those cups so they can look cool rather than so they can stay hydrated. I hope that after the trend dies, they still want to drink water. Also, realistically, what's stopping someone from stealing their cup? Purposely damaging it? And claiming they needed it for their selfie, lol. I don't trust people, haha

The most ironic part of this is that a couple weeks ago you even told us that they're being sold at the thrift stores now for $6. Stanley is dark green and makes coffee thermos which kept your coffee warm for hours and lunch boxes for construction workers and the like. I would love to find the set yet I know they are expensive and people who have them keep them.

I used to own a Stanley then I switched to a hydroflask (I already had one so no extra waste :D) and it’s so much better . First off Stanley needs an extra covering that you have to buy separately so it doesn’t spill. Second they’re so inconvenient to carry.
