Star Trek Into the Unknown - YOU Should Be Excited! Reasons Why! 

Top 3 ships would have to be: D’deridex Warbird, Bird of Prey, and Cardassian Galor class to really flesh out the other factions. Would love to see more federation ships but more factions I think trumps that.

Ships I would love to also see: Excelsior or Excelsior Refit, Akira, Miranda, and of course California class USS Cerritos!! (LOWER DECKS! LOWER DECKS!) Also a to scale Romulan Warbird would be impressive.

As someone that hadn't heard of ST: Into the Unknown prior to this video, I'm now intrigued. While I never played it, what I heard and saw of Attack Wing didn't appeal to me much, but this sounds like it may be up my alley.

I AM EXCITED! I’ll be preordering online if it gets to the new year and my LGS still isn’t doing preorders. For Top 3 ships I’d like to see, so long as we are sticking with the Dominion War era, they are (in order): 1. Akira 2. Sabre 3. Sovereign

I’m officially on board the hype train, our gaming grp plays armada every weekend, this will be a glorious addition to our play group.

My main reason for having some excitement is the names behing it. As a huge X-Wing guy who sadly watched it die everywhere around me, Im excited for this. I also always thought Attack Wing just felt off. I always wished Attack Wing was closer to Armada than X-Wing.

I pre-ordered this in December and basically forgot about it till now! (Feb) I'm super excited about it and can't wait till April! I played a lot of Attack Wing and really enjoyed it and still play it from time to time. But this game seems like it is leaning even more into the Star Trek theme and have at least some games that are more about exploring than fighting. But no matter what the final game play is like the simple fact that the ships are going to be the proper scale compared to each other is an amazing thing! Hopefully, it lives up to the hype.

If they continue with the versus style boxes rather than single expansions, I'd love to see a sovereign class vs scimitar pack. Say what you will about Nemesis as a film, but the ships were top tier.

I started with Star Trek Attack Wing from the beginning of that line, and enjoyed it for the most part. I was no longer playing during the last year or two. Fleet Captains was also a good game despite the clix dials being used. I enjoy your enthusiasm for new stuff. I think I’ll have to wait and see on this one, having recently picked up most of the new Away Missions game. I already have a lot of ST gaming available to me and few interested players. Unless this one looks flat out amazing I’ll likely pass on it.

The first pack Rising Tensions sounds like a Romulan/cardassian pack maybe the attack on founders homeworld? so potentially 2x D'Derridex and 3x Galor Next pack Glorious Zeal sounds like Klingon focus. DS9, Negh Var, Vorcha, 2x K'tinga, 3x B'rel. Good thing with this is Klingon ships are small so can fit lots in the box for cannon fodder for the starbase. Next pack Scars of occupation could be for occupation by the Dominion into Federation space seeing old and allied ships used. Andorian cruiser, Vulcan cruiser, Ambassador, Cheyenne, 2x Miranda. Would love to see a Wolf 359 pack, could easily put a flat packed Borg cube in the box and it would flesh out the Federation fleet. Excelsior, Ambassador, Nebula, 2x Miranda, Cheyenne, Oberth.

Species 8472 would be interesting Specially if you could combine multiple to make a destruction bean like the show.

Yeah this looks Rad Crabbock I'm a serious Trekkie and I'm stoked trying to beat the hype drum for our local gaming group on this. I was also big into Attack Wing and actually still have my stuff from that.

I think scars of occupation will turn out to be a Cardassian expansion rather than a Bajoran one. Fits more with the Dominion theme. We know the expansion will have scenarios and characters so imagine we will get dukat in there as a commander.

I don’t know much about Star Trek honestly but I do like that Enterprise model. Very cool!

top 3 ships would be for feds - intrepid class. klingons - vorcha class. for romulans id love to see the valdor class

D-7 Battlecruiser, L-42 Bird of Prey, and classic Federation Constitution class. I hope they are per scale, not random scales.

Gotta have the Borg. That’s the top faction for me that was not mentioned. The Gorn from the newer series would be fun as well.

When it is placed in the dominion war then DS-9 is a must as a ship or station, the breen ships also would be great and if I should wish for a federation ship it would be the sovereign class. I'm super pleased about the dominion war since deep space nine is my favourite series of all the star trek seiries.

This is such a great news, and hopefully it will give atomic mass games a much needed push towards reissuing and expanding armada. But back to the topic of the video, i am really intrigued by how this is gonna work out, the models look gorgeous and the mechanics promised interesting.

I love Armada and it’s the only table top game I play, but I’m interested in seeing this develop

hopefully the come out with the Ambassador, Excelsior and Miranda so we can do some Golden Age missions. Guess they'd need a Cardiasian pack, too. I'm in.

I need the Enterprise B refit. My favorite ship of all time. Thing reminds me of a 57' Chevy lol.

The big thing that I see that I'm not too crazy about with ITU: those stat cards. Looks like a LOT going on there. I hope that as we see more about this game, the stat cards get more clarified. That aside, the minis themselves look awesome!

Honestly I'm really hoping I can play as the Borg. I know of only two ships of theirs, the Cube and Sphere, but im really hoping to get to use them.

I wanna see the Sovereign class. Just my favorite ship in all of Star Trek.

I grew up with Star Trek more than Star Wars, so this one has my interest. I'll look forward to seeing more from you about it. I'd also love to see alternate era ships. The Constellation Refit Enterprise from the movies (NCC 1701) is still one of my favorite looking Star Trek ships.

I really hope this will give a kick in the but of AMG/Asmodee to do some more with Star Wars Armada! ;)

If the models look good, I'm in - there are lots of 3rd party generic space combat rules you can always use with good pre-painted minis.

It sounds interesting. I'd love to see the Ferengi as a playable faction but for the Federation a mid level ship like a Nebula class or modernised Excelsior class would be good and also an Enterprise E. Agree about DS9, season 4 onwards is the best ever Star Trek.

I'm curious on the actual ship sizes. In the demo I saw on RU-vid, they were small as compared to Armada and x-wing

I wonder if they add other races if it'll still be two sides like Klingons and Romulans are part of a coalition against the Dominion and the Cardassians are Dominion allies or if it's just a free for all. I think I would prefer the former.

Hopefully quality control and game balance will be on point for this game.

I loved Attack Wing. I printed out scale ships at 1/7000 for that game but this one looks to be scale maybe?

This is easily my most anticipated upcoming tabletop game. I hope it's really good. I know that it is a bit outside of the Dominion War, but I do hope they eventually do the Borg as well.

This is exciting! I had not heard about this yet, but I think I could get my friends into this. There are a lot of ships I would love to see, but I need D'deridex and Scimitar.

Love the original film series ships like the Klingon bird of prey and of course, who wouldn’t want to recreate the dual from Star Trek II. Classic enterprise vs Reliant.

I am very excited for this game. I would love to see the USS Sutherland. I know this game is on a 3x3, but how cool would it be to have DS9 model. Or have a DS9/wormhole scenario pack with cardboard objectives.

I have been a fan of Star Trek battle games since pushing around Star Fleet Battle counters as a kid. Attack Wing brought nothing new to the table and did not capture the feel I was looking for. I’m looking before to this though surprised to see dominion in the first box

Specific objectives makes sense to me, especially if they arnt 100% combat related. The rebellion would never win against the empire in a straight up fight. They had objectives OTHER than combat to help win the day. I can see (and i SHOULD) see this as well in this ST game. It would be a bit of a disservice to only have combat only missions for a Star Trek game. There is soo much more to ST than the space battles. (Dont get me wrong, i really did enjoy them in the shows).

Very very exciting. Especially with so much design talent behind it. This could be the next one for me. Kids don’t really need college anymore these days, right? God help my wallet.

DS9 is my favorite Star Trek series ever, and I’ve been buying wizkidz models sense the first wave of heroclix 20 years ago. And the quality is way better now.

I love the ships from star trek, would love to see them hit the table in a good game. Armada as a star trek game would have been perfect in my head.

@1:50 - funny! I just started out watching this video with the thought "Oh no - it's another Wizkids Star Trek unit. Not after the dumpster fire that was STAW, thanks!". Played that game for a couple years, but so much was wrong with it. Loved the movement dial system, but yeah - the Star Trek IP probably would've been better in an Armada-type game

I love Xwing and the system. I always did feel that Attack Wing should have had more of a trek feel and not just the same style really. I like the sound of this one, hope they make it awesome. I really want to see the Ambassador Class.

if it's been shown on screen, I want a model of it. Give. Us. EVERYTHING. From Pike's Enterprise up through Seven's. (which makes me wonder how they'll handle ships that are generations apart...), but I gotta have a California-class... okay, and an Odyssey.

My biggest fear with ITU is WizKids' tendency to not property stock or support their games. If you plan on playing this game I feel like you're going to have to snatch up every set as soon as they drop or you'll never get them. That's my big issue with Attack Wing and I'm still one of the big supporters of that game in the online community.

Ever since XWing 2.5 came out, i went on a long sabbatical from miniature wargaming. With ST:ITU, that's gonna change. If i don't like the gameplay (doubt it), I'll still buy the miniatures for display (not to play with).

Yeah, WizKids has me hesitant... Might be a "wait n see", as much as I love the campaign idea

It looks well produced. I am concerned about any game WizKids makes, they tend to start off fine the power creep quickly or have some broken things that is never really toned down. As far as what I would like to see in a game like this: The Borg are an easy add I think. If I could have any faction/race I would ask for the Undine (Species 8472).

Looking forward to this ever since it was announced months ago. Star Trek at Armada scale yes please. Also hope Wiz Kids make this easier to get than attack wing. I really like that game as well especially Linvander studio's alliance expansions which make it a cooperative campaign, but swear they only ever do one print. Looks like a good year coming up for them with this and the 3 new attack wing box sets they've previewed.

I was really hoping that this game might lead to some type of collaboration between you and David Montgomery (a prominent Attack Wing RU-vidr with a similar tone to your stuff). Unfortunately, David died suddenly last week. It’s a major loss to the online Attack Wing community. I’m still looking forward to the greater overlap of your channel with the Trek tabletop world in 2024. I hope that you can find some amazing players and analysts to bounce off of as you explore this exciting new game.

I was really excited for this when it was announced but then I watched the preview play through and it looked REALLY clunky. So now I'm less sure but I'm hoping it will be good

I need need need my Intrepid Class and Sovereign Class, but that Galaxy Class and Defiant Class will do. Though kind of unlikely I would love to see ships from the Kazon Collective....specifically their big ship....I forget the name. I also hope these will be in comparable scale to Star Wars Armada.......mmmmmmmmm hehehehe totally not thinking about cross playing both games....some how.

Oh Boy.... What ships I want to See? Star Trek has a near endless list of ships I'd want to see. But if it's sticking with the Dominion War I say We stick to that era Exclusivly, whe you start adding 23rd Century era TOS and Enterprise era ships. It's going to make the list longer and Balance will be an issue. Federation Ships: Excelcior class, Akira Class, Miranda Class, California Class, Nova Class, Intrepid Class, Prometheus Class, (Oh Jeez! Just log into STO, the list is nearly Endless!!!) Klingon: Bird of Prey, Vor'cha, D7, Nek'var! Romulan: Bird of prey, Valdor, D'Deridex, Scimitar? Cardassian: Hidecki, Galor, Keldon Jem'Hedar: Fighter, Battleship, Heavy Cruiser. Breen Ship? Borg: DO NOT INCLUDE THE BORG, Leave them out of the Game.

I bet this game will be supported better by WizKids than X-wing is by AMG.
