The first addition to my collection for 2018, The Legacy Collection Millennium Falcon, mankind's greatest achievement! And yes I know I missed a couple of things.
Hey mate good to hear from you! I agree completely, the big AT-AT is amazing but the big Falcon (as much as I love my Hot Toys figures) is my favourite piece in my collection.
Picked mine up today after seeing your brilliant review,... this is without doubt the best Millennium Falcon made. Couldn’t sneak this in the house without the misses going bonkers 🤦🏻♂️😆🤣
Indeed it is the greatest Millennium Falcon toy ever made. Sometimes we have to make tough decisions, the greatest Star Wars toy (arguably now that the sail barge exists) ever created......... or the misses.
@@martinroskilly9994 Give the Mrs. an equally (Or more) expensive stuff, she wouldn't complain lol, it worked for me. Hot Toys ESB Vader standing proud in my work room lmao. Of course you had to pay double, but hey, a win win it's a double win = double the price😆.
Haha, the silly decisions we make as kids. I remember having the Vintage Falcon as a kid and I thought that was amazing, I think my head would've exploded if they'd released this back then......
This is not the 1980s Falcon. This one is from 2010. Were you a kid in 2010? The 1980s vintage one was not as detailed as this one and it was way smaller. This Falcon is the largest doll house ever made.
WOW!!!! Now, THIS is the definitive Millennium Falcon version I've always wanted to have when I was a boy! I had the original Kenner version but it broke and The Power of the Force version is essentially the same mold, but they don't even come close to this awesome version! I'm seriously considering getting this one! I look forward to seeing more of your videos! You just earned a new subscriber! :)
Great video mate. The Legacy Millennium Falcon is a thing of beauty! One of my most prized possessions in my collection too. Every collector needs to have this ship in their collection. Do yourself a favor and just buy the damn thing!!!!
Thanks mate. It's taken me a while but finally got this thing, and couldn't be happier! And yes I agree, collectors if you don't already own it you need to hunt one of these down, amazing!
Bought mine second hand on eBay with the box a year ago and it’s beautiful. It’s absolutely complete except the mandibles slide off and are not locked in place because I had to chop off the part that locks them in or they wouldn’t go back in. Lights and sound all work perfectly has all missiles. I put multiple scenes around it.
Nice find, these things are most definitely beautiful indeed! I was so lucky to find mine second hand for a reasonable price as well. I hope to have more space for my collection one day and display this amazing vehicle in a diorama setting.
Not only an awesome version of the Falcon, it's the greatest toy ever produced by mankind! The reissue of the original Kenner Falcon is cool as well. Haha I'm glad you like the "bedroom shot", I thought it was funny, I think you're the first person to comment on it, maybe no one else made it that far into the video or maybe people just thought it was weird and creepy lol
Hey BB - great video mate, cracked me up seeing you sleeping with it - I felt the same way ! I was hesitant at the price of these, but on acquiring one MIB I have to admit, it is THE standout to my Star Wars collection, even as I write this mid-2018 (2nd is the SoTDS BIG AT-AT, another MUSt HAVE). I consider this an investment & worth every penny of the few hundred ($Au) it cost me to get one in early 2017, because Hasbro will not likely make a better Falcon, especially at this scale or anywhere near the 2009 price point if they did attempt a re-release (witness the very poor Falcons released for the latest Trilogy). As a gauge, Hasbro has just announced a re-release of the Legacy 'Big Wing' TIE Fighter in TVC packaging, for about US$80 (AU$108) - WELL above original release price Try & buy a Legacy Falcon on the sly & keep it from your GF/wife, she'll go nuts .... but very hard to miss because this baby is just H.U.G.E. .... I'm off now to take my Legacy Falcon for a Walk and a Coffee !
Well thank you so much for watching. I was hesitant to put that bedroom scene in, wasn't sure if people would find it funny or just weird and creepy but I'm glad you liked it lol! As I have said plenty of times before, this Legacy Falcon is the greatest thing mankind has ever created, every serious Star Wars toy collector needs one. The recent Falcon releases make me dry retch every time I think about them. I've heard about the TVC release of the big wing TIE and it looks great. I wasn't sure if the retail price had been confirmed at $80 US but I thought I had read that somewhere, very interesting. An Aussie online store recently put that TVC TIE up on pre order....... for $200 AUD which is fucking insane. Looks like I won't be adding that to my collection.
@@BabblingBooby I have one too, and it took me forever I remember to learn that if you hold the buttons they did something different, and I didn't even realize that you could press the satellite button
As you can tell I Iove the Legacy Falcon. I doubt it will show up down here, if it does it will cost a bazillion dollars so I won't pick it up under those circumstances, anyone who can find this at a reasonable price should jump on it!
I have this same one I bought it from David Jones for 100$ because I managed to talk them down to it. I’m only missing a few landing pieces at the bottom but I have everything else
Thanks for watching. I don't know if Haslab could do a better version to be honest. I personally think this is the ultimate 3.75 inch Falcon and Haslab should probably focus on new items like the Sail Barge and such.
@@BabblingBooby As awesome as a 1:1 3.75" Falcon would be, I agree...I don't know how much better it would be (overall) than this one. A cheeky re-pack with updated paint apps wouldn't go astray though...
I have one of these, it’s used but in almost perfect condition and I have all the pieces save one of the two hologchess pieces. I’m looking to potentially sell it, could anyone give me a general estimate on how much it would be worth?
Anyone by chance have one with electronics that don’t work and was able to repair them? I bought one second hand yesterday for 40 bucks. It’s complete but the electronics don’t work.
The figures are the right size ..the.models have tini ones making the fulcon huge ! Did they watch empire strikes back when han stands between the forks ..?saying good luck to luke in hoth ? Even the bandi kits get it wrong ...weird. . This looks great wish I had this as a kid .
J Doe , I CAN SEE THE FUUUUTURE!!! Seriously though, I’ve been collecting long enough, I can predict certain re releases. Then you factor in inflation and licensing fees. But, I prefer Wizard.
Spooning with your BMF😄I wonder if my girl would mind shifting over a bit in bed to allow room for my BMF... I'd probably be demoted to the couch lol. I sold my Legacy to buy the Galaxy's Edge version. It wasn't an easy decision but I thought, I only want 1 on display and the weathering on the Galaxy's Edge is far better. But I have no interest in the Smugglers Run characters or sound effects so I'm glad they kept the original sound effects as an option.
Hehe, I forgot about that, thanks for watching the whole video lol. I haven't seen the Galaxy's Edge version in person but that extra weathering sounds nice
@@BabblingBooby If I had any skill or knowledge regarding model painting which I don't lol I probably would've stuck with the Legacy and weathered it myself. And the Legacy has a better interior with the ivory colored seats and trimmings. The Smugglers Run has more of a light amber interior which I don't like. The orange lights that turn on when the entry/exit ramp comes down stay on for a few seconds longer though. So, there's pros and cons for both.
I can't believe you bought it either. Just kidding, I haven't seen TFA Falcon in hand myself but I have seen some comparison pics and the Legacy Falcon definitely smashes all other Falcons.
Hey BB 😂. If I’d paid full price I’d never have admitted to owning it. But when I saw it was 70% off I immediately felt a disturbance in my wallet and had to get one but............... as you said there’s only one Falcon and it’s your Legacy version. Btw heard that there’ll be a new Falcon next year in the Vintage line and it’ll be based on the Legacy. Fingers crossed.
Great start that was one I had in 2015 January is wookie Month On my channel check out all the chewie they have given us over the years MtfbwU always.👍 Happy 2018
My friend owns one of these he sadly basically destroyed it in his childhood I've always wanted to buy it off him and rebuild it but he doesn't want to part with it
While I believe people should show respect to the greatest toy that mankind has ever produced, I can understand kids having a lot of fun with it and maybe getting a bit overzealous, and I can't blame your friend for not wanting to part with it.
Hasbro packed soooo much SW goodness into this, that when u look at what they have brought out recently makes u wonder what the hell is going on at Hasbro nowadays. The Black series Tie fighter is cool but it has no sounds or lights and was a really big fail for Hasbro.
UnorthdoxCleric I agree completely, the current vehicles are absolute overpriced rubbish. This Falcon is easily my favourite piece in the collection, but we'll see what happens next year when Jabba's Sail Barge arrives......
before the dark times... Before Disney went and fucked everything Star Wars. These were about 300 or so dollars at amazon in 2008 wish I'd gotten one then. now you'd be lucky to find one that was new and not preowned or with missing bits for twice the price! Avoid "Smuggler's Run" and get this if you can or wait until you can!-
It is blasphemy, but I'll let it slide this time haha. I've never collected GI Joe but I just looked up the Defiant and that looks like a really cool toy.
