I used to play SC1:Broodwar, but after playing SC II and realizing how fast it moves, I just about gave up haha. 🤣I'd rather just watch the pros play, its so much fun seeing them battle back and forth against each other. Just enjoy your dinner and watch a cast, so relaxing at the end of the day. 😌
I can't believe Kelazhur took that game as long as he did. After his second army wipe at around 30 minutes in, there was no chance of a comeback, yet he stuck it for nearly another ten full minutes.
Wow, I must not remember the few games of Lambo's that I've seen because I don't remember him being so good. He is very quick at getting all his spells cast while staying accurate with em'.

Ref that poll: Toss matches are usually boring, that's the problem. Second, mirror matches tend to be relatively boring as well. Putting those 2 pieces of information together, it's only natural that TVZ would be the winner. Now, to be clear, there are some amazing Toss games. Some. Honestly, before Gumiho brought the battle mech style back, Terrans were also insanely boring. It's not actually very fun to watch the same build game after game after game because they only have one or two build orders or strategies that are viable in high level play with deviations being a guarantied death.
No relation to the video, just have to share. I have just played a game where my opponent started with 4 Nexus and no units. Crazy stuff. He GG out in the min 2 when my reaper reached his third.
Aaaaaand... THAT'S why you don't play Mech against Zerg: you give WAY too much value to Vipers and Infestors. If you play Bio the only thing you really need to worry about is Infestors with Fungal Growth. Bio gives you a more flexible army that moves faster and deals with attacks and counterattacking better. Also, there's the problem that we saw with the first bad engagement from Kelazhur: Terran Mech units are too big and get stuck in chokepoints. They need to be given the Ultralisk treatment and made smaller and more maneuverable.
Bio gets destroyed by late game zerg. Late game zerg has always been OP yet the last balance patch somehow late game terran got nerfed and late game zerg got buffed. Brood lords are outrunning ghost snipe. Its total bs. Thats why all the korean terrans are opening 2 rax and putting on nonstop pressure.
@@kaiser2261 I don't think ANYTHING beats late-game Zerg consistently. They have the best spellcasters in the game AND the best siege units in the game. I'm not saying it's EASY to play late-game Zerg; just the opposite, in fact. Controlling two different spellcasters, Lurkers, Hydras, and potentially a group of Brood Lords is REALLY tough; but if you can do it there really isn't another army composition that can match it.
Wait a minute on 14:10 how does the queen get healed off creep? Did anybody else catch that; it was while the banshee was attacking the hatchery? Lowko did you see that? Was there a queen on creep healing the queen off creep? I was under the impression that they had to be on creep in order to heal and be healed. hmmmmm
I have a question: Is it more expensive to repair a mecanical unit at 1 hp to his fullest OR is it less expensive to let it die and build a new one? Viking for exemple?
It is always cheaper to repair. Repairing only costs 25% of the total resources it took to build it. A Viking costs 150m/75 gas. It takes roughly 38 m/18g to repair from 1hp to full. However, using SCV's to repair also takes away from them being able to mine. For example, it doesn't really make sense to repair Hellions in early game but repairing BC's is almost always worth it because they are expensive, and of how much value you get out of them.
@@TurnOnTheBackburner Thx for the information, cause i was wondering most of the time, why dont they repair. Cause i see a lot of scenarios where they have too much SCV on the board doing nothing cause not enough to mine or gaz, and they still don't repair.
@@aua1018 you can't do so many things simultaneously. gamers avoid doing things needing too much effort/yielding too little profit. this is one of cases when you spend a lot of your apm but don't really gain anything from that.
@@kaiser2261 not only pressing neural, but controlling each neuroued unit. And controlling the zerg army as well. While terran: "My lizard terran brain tells me to build mass "Thors" and siege tanks and win".
@@abyrvalg_ “controlling the rest of the zerg army” is f2 a move in this case. And yeah, you zergs cried about ghosts until they got nerfed. You made the lower skilled unit relatively stronger. That being said, infestor brood lord beats thor siege tank 90%+ of the time.
Mind control in sc had very little counter player besides “kill the low shields archon before it runs away” being a channeled ability is way better design. It being on a Zerg vs a Protoss unit is debatable but Zerg needed some way to take out high power units with a spellcaster.
Lowko, I've been a big fan of your work since 2016. Love your content. That being said, please cut down on your usage of the word "well". I study speech patterns as a hobby, and yours is consistently great. You've got a lot of great ways to keep us interested in your commentating (two of my favorites are how you pronounce "regartless", and your saying that "Sometimes Starcraft 2 is just a numbers game"), but this "... well" isn't one of them. Every time you paused to say "well", it threw off my focus and made the video much more difficult to listen to. Please change it. P.S. The reason I added those details was not to have some claim on an important opinion, but to show that I care. I have a lot of respect for how hard you've worked and how successful you've become. You know what you're doing and I'm just some random guy on the internet. But I hope you consider this. I think it's the right move for you.
"Staying in the game" doesn't mean anything. You can stay in the game just turtling and never moving out, but you're not winning or progressing. Terran player lost in the first 10 minutes.
@@luckycandy101but playing as terran your win condition is staying in game for long enough. Zerg can not compete in cost effectiveness against ghosts + ghosts can end the game on their own
@@guivolp actually they can, because they jump back up 80 supply in five seconds once their army dies, and they can harrass the terran across the map very easily, and they have infinite vision, the terran sit by their seige tanks most of the time, but that doesnt lend itself well to insta closing out games when they see weakness
and also the zerg didnt know he was down to ten supply, plus planetary fortresses dont cost supply, despite being very expensive defensive emplacements
