MaxPax's stalk control reminds me of the game with the Google AI. Where the AI just kept pushing low hp/shield stalkers to the back of the conga line. So many of MaxPax's battles look like he's loosing horribly, and then you find out he lost 3 stalkers in 2 min fight!

OK this series doesn't prove $#^%. It's obvious Max is Serral off racing. Serral played both zerg and protoss in this series. Zerg just won cuz he used his right hand for Zerg and left for Toss.

@Lowko, Can you cast the Scarlet vs Astrea matches from the NA tournament? It was a little one side, but just watching the odd builds, great micro, and willingness to just go for it; was great to see in a series. (The hatch deny is one of the more innovative things I have seen)

In America we called them fingerboards and the main brand was "Tech Decks". They were only popular for a hot minute in the late 90's and early 2000's.

What really still sets Serral apart from other zerg players is his scouting. He just knows all timings so incredibly well that he can make sure that there is always a zergling or overlord at exactly the right time at the right place.

Since Serral's disappointing IEM run, he went on beast mode and lost only two series since then. This is like when he lost a lot to cheese before IEM 2022, and went beast mode there. Too bad really for his IEM 2023 performance.

I was a new player last year. Also probably the oldest at mid 30’s. Started watching Lowko casts, learnt Zerg from Pig, and now I play Toss which I picked up from… the Harstem.

I've watched entire videos then disliked it because I didn't like the conclusion of the video or I felt like it was being disingenuous and wanted to see if maybe some of my issues got addressed later on the video. Normally not a video 90 minutes long though.

Lowko I figured out why the creep tumor had a 1 on it. _It's an ability stack._ Each creep tumor can only spawn one more creep tumor, they each have one stack for their creep spreading ability.

Btw, about different E-sports, I've never actually played SC2 (did play some casual Brood War though back when that was new) and it's definitely one of the better E-sports to watch. I do however suggest checking out some fighting games, the simple fact that it's just one screen and no camera control makes it so good for watching, It's like the opposite of CS where you need a whole team to manage which point of view to show. But I did play some competitive fighting games so I'm a bit biased. Btw2, I can confirm that playing on a stage makes a huge difference in performance, and can take a long time to get used to, but it's also so much fun, and winning a match in front of an audience is like the best feeling ever. Btw3, I remember finger skateboards being a thing in Sweden as well

I know you probably know this Lowko but the saying all road lead to Rome is from the ancient time. Romans the road makers as they were called made their roads to supply their troops and commerce. So in a sense of you start from the end of a road and continue walking eventually it will take you to Rome.

I think this speaks bigger to the whole RTS Genre, because I recon IF RTS games, especially Star Craft were given *CONTROLLER SUPPORT* It would made open to a whole demograpic of Console and handheld Gaming PC gamers. Forget the whole Keyboard & mouse elitist attitude, because that just gatekeeps and holds back the RTS genre to just be a PC thing. Imagine 20+ years ago that KB/M elitism and controls were not designed with FPS games. FPS genre may not have blown up the way the way it is without the common mass appeal of consoles, to the point it's becoming more people would rather relax on a couch to play COD on a couch instead of hunched over a KB/M. I really recon it can be something so "simple" as controller support baked in for the RTS genre moving forward that would invite many NEW people and re-invigorate the RTS Genre onto more wider demographs...especially now that *HANDHELD* gaming PCs will more than likely be a big and popular PC category. Command & Conquer, Lord of the Rings BME II and to a lesser extent Halo showed with Controller support (wheel and tab menu) can work on consoles, but a BIG game like Starcraft could spark the RTS genre once again into a wider appeal. or just let RTS genre and SCII languish, age and be niche only on PCs

My experience from Canada: Finger skateboard's (techdecks??) were popular at the same time as Beyblades and pokemon FireRed/LeafGreen as I recall. That would have been like 2004-2007ish I think.

Lowko... the Finger Skateboards are called Teck-Decks... and YES they are still a thing... and in fact, no joke, there are a handful of locations (in the USA) where Teck-Deck nerds can go and "skate" dozens of miniature versions of real life skate parks... not gonna lie it's actually pretty cool, well at least the mini replica irl parks as some have some damn good detail and are spot on to their irl counterparts...

From a Lore sort of stand point, story-wise, I really love Protoss. But boy, do I dislike the way it plays. I loved when Void Ray was good, though I do understand that it was TOO good. Kinda wish Protoss was more of a standing power instead of hyper aggressive "have to push or you're dead" type.

Is there a reason for upgrading armor over shield in PvZ/P? I can understand upgrading shield against terran is useless because they just remove it but against the other races? Shield sure is usually lower than health for most units, but it regeneratetes and if Archons are played then the armor in useless. Shield also works on flyers if you transition to skytoss. Any imput on that From more edperienced players? EDIT: spelling/formatting

Lowkow I wanna make a point against Star Craft that may justify way is not so popular as an export (I'm game designer btw). I talk about it with some colleagues, and imo, the worst thing about this e-sport, is that it's anti-climactic a lot of the time. If you don't understand the game, you don't even know why a player may surrender at a given point.

Unfortunately I think the lack of support from Blizzard has decreased interest in supporting the game. Especially since Storm Gate is supposedly on the way.

Its been a while since ive been here Lowko. I think adressing your question as to sc2s viewer rate, i just kinda stopped watching and playing sc2 and watching yours and winters videos. I miss your candid-ness and winters goofiness but i really cant be bothered to giving a poop about sc2 content anymore. Ive just kinda grown out of competitive only no fun kinda games. I do miss you guys tho.
