John Dennis Thottam lol. I don't like the fanboyism. It's nauseating. The future is going to have power armor, it's a staple. Just like shields or faster than light space travel. The tech is superficial, but the culture and identity of the characters are not. The marines in 40K are basically holy warriors (Jihadists) for human imperialism (full spectrum big government). Marines in SC are either reformed excons or free volunteers.

John Doe I love both universes so don't get me wrong here but the reason a lot of people compare them is due to blizzards history (working on a warhammer game when they branched off). I really don't meet any warhammer fans personally who hate sc because they think it's a rip off... the ones who do are the same people who would say warhammer ripped off starcraft. My suggestion is just try to ignore those kind of people it makes life a lot calmer. And yeah I agree there is a lot of difference in lore I mean the whole outlook of 40k is there is no hope or free will only war and oppression vs SC a very hope diven story of Raynor trying to free man kind from it's oppressive government.
