I use tree fertilizer for setting up neat tappers quickly. I had assumed thats what you wanted them for. For just straight wood I fill the spa area up with my excess seeds. If you need more wood just buy it probably

howdy Foxy big upgrades today. I never even thought of using the tree fertilizer for wood, I only ever use them for getting my tappers up sooner. Every tree you chop down outside the farm (w/ stump removed) has a 20% chance of re-appearing nightly as a stage 3 tree (~15 days till maturity), so if you spend a day in Cindersap, you should have usable wood by next season (save winter). Cindersap has about 50 trees, so each full clear is worth ~1000 wood w/o forester, the other areas are less but a full clear of the map should give ~4k wood per season. For math, a stage 5 tree can produce 16-25 wood including stump, picked by luck and forage level. Wood has a value of 10g per piece in robin's shop, so one tree fertilizer is worth ~200g. if you buy the stone (5) its going to cost you 100g of stone, and fiber. the trader is not a good option because you are basically buying the fiber for 100g each(5 stone), so its much more efficient to go hit the mines (floor 105-109) for fiber in regular play. in contrast a single day of fishing is worth about 10k, or 1000 wood in year 1; so mostly I just buy the wood for whatever I need. I use Pigs for passive income in endgame (iridium truffles w/o tending) so I typically go Botanist (via gatherer) over Forester, though for a min/max run of year 1 its the better option. My most recent run stalled out mid spring because of Hardwood RNG (i don't plant anything till strawberries), I'm thinking of doing the following progression for my next run: Starting day 4 (or 3 at a push) - Copper pick, iron pick(6), copper axe(8), copper watering can(10), Minecarts, Gold pick (12). then desert ASAP based on fishing RNG. I found that prospecting your frozen and magma Geodes (from fishing) early game helps get the pick upgrades before you get the mine levels needed. you postpone the mines a bit, but you start with the iron pick (with RNG) and up to 6 days of fishing. I'm really liking the early minecarts for mines and non-rain day fishing, and will go earlier if i get good hardwood RNG; I use the construction bundle over spring crop bundle, which is basically half a day with the axe and leftovers from the mines. if you can get 15+ Rice starters from fishing you can have farming 1 with basically 0 time farming, which protects your strawberry investment.

Great video as usual! It’s certainly not infuriating to see you forget stuff, it’s nice to know I’m not alone with it. The tree fertilizer is to get your oak trees faster for the resin to kegs. Also, the people doing the early Skull Caverns use animation canceling which is almost a different game. Your style is much more enjoyable and relatable.
