It's definitely adorable, gotta admit. Even with the 20 power reactor that you can get without perks, it'd still beat the heck out of the Frontier as an early-game ship, stat-wise. Makes me wonder if I could get all the same parts into a slightly larger version without using merging, and possibly a decent all-in-one berth so it'd have a bed. I hate surveying at night.
Amazing build! Personally I like tiny build more than the "large and wide" ships because they all tend to look similar in the shape. Right now I'm working in a 16x16 ship (it is considered little?) and I'm pretty proud of it. All my ships are under 21 meters wide because I'm not a big fan of wider build, but the ones I saw in this channel are *chef kiss*
The builder measures in each direction from the centre. So an indication of, say 10m, means 10m from the centre. This is why the maximum sized ship which can land on the small pad will show 20m on the builder, it's 20m in either direction, or 40m. But I get your point. Small is beautiful. 😉
Yes! It wasn't really clear at the beginning of the game but later on I understood this thing. But when a ship is considered tiny? I mean, under 20 meters or under 15 meters?
Another weeny winner. Keep TWO hulls stacked together and highlight the BOTTOM hull for the merging operation. THEN, you don't need to continuously erase the duplicates that go up. If these ships get any smaller, we'll be able to put them in our back pocket and take them to the Well. thx S
Neat ship. I too like that cockpit. I would argue that it is my favorite one, despite me building a lot of Deimos lately. In regards to merging, I don't technically mind it. I used some flip merging on my most recent build to get some structural pieces placed. I just prefer a minimalist approach to merge building.
Coffee time. Yeah I could definitely run this, I play without crew so it’s generally always small ships for me. ( I’ve had the shield bug show up on every play through with crew, so I don’t use). I use the lodge as my base and for storage, so add that up, these high speed, low drag small ships are the preferred drivers.
MERGING If you're building a large ship, you may need to think carefully about the order in which you proceed as you near the end of the build. Towards the end you may run into the limit of available pieces. In order to complete some merges, you may need to delete existing pieces, so that you have sufficient allowable pieces to provide copies to merge.
