*Dr. Beckett:* _(looking at a life-signs detector)_ "These dots don't tell us much about who's who. How do we know which one's the Major?" *Lt. Ford:* "He'll be the dot getting rid of the other dots."
Well it was a literal city, perhaps the ancients had privacy laws about being recorded in public spaces, or perhaps they were advanced enough that theft/crime wasn’t a societal problem for them It’s not too unreasonable, then again there’s also the chance that they simply didn’t know how to access the cameras, or that the system was destroyed/damaged from spending centuries soaked in sea water under extreme pressure at the bottom of the ocean
@@3adgamd3r My money is on the ancients trusting eachother enough not to need them in the first place. They also probably didn't figure on inviting any strangers over for tea n cookies.
I always loved this two-parter. Never been a fan of the Diehard movies, but I've always loved the plot as a concept. So marrying that concept to my favourite series is always a joy to see.
This is really more realistic, where you have an Air Force pilot using guerilla tactics. He would be expected to have some training in the event he crashes in enemy territory.
@@TheOmegaRiddler : Sheppard probably had the experience. Before he joined the expedition, he had disobeyed orders and went behind enemy lines in Afghanistan to mount a rescue.
More of Predator Sheppard....he seems to have very quickly figured out they had the Super Nintendo to follow his movements while he only has a Gameboy.
This is like my hundredth rewatch of this and I just realized that he's timing their pace with his watch every single time he checks their location. Also, they must be so terrified how he killed a group of three when he's outnumbered Even when the group was assisted with the life signs detector
The first season of this show was amazing. Then they made contact with earth. All the incredible tension of being completely cut off evaporated instantly.
