What a wasted opportunity: 16 Samantha Carters = Jury-rigs a Goa'uld Mothership to be stronger than an Aurora-class. 16 Jack O'Neills = Makes a Goa'uld's head burst into flames out of frustration. 16 Teal'cs = Enough to conquer and occupy any planet. 16 Daniel Jacksons = Enough moral compass to talk all the Goa'uld into defecting to the Tok'ra, and probably get the Ancients to save the Asgard and wipe out the Ori.
with how they breached into "our" universe like that the teams would most probably be from the closest reality to our own so the differences would likely be very small like only 1 team having Janet with them so all of them have the same IDC is quite plausible also it is possible there could of been activations without the same IDC but that would be pointless to bring up in the show
We know that the SGC turned away a lot more teams than they accepted. they were only accepting teams underfire or some emergency so it stands to reason there were some with different idc codes
The answer to this is that out of all the SG-1 teams that showed up, out of all the infinite possibilities, these all had the same IDC. When the wormhole was breached, it breached more than just these other alternate realities. But only the ones with the same IDC were able to pass through properly. This allowed the "first" alternate reality SG-1 team to pinpoint the breached reality they wanted. Because they had to enter a Stargate that could be passed through.
At the other hand, a great experience for Sam: finally somebody on same intellectual level to discuss problems with :) Sometimes I miss that at work, especially at my former employer...
What would've been really interesting is if someone, perhaps the Daniel, on the mirror-SG1 team had doubts about the ethicality of their plan. It'd make them less clear-cut bad guys. While the episode was clear they're not just "evil SG1" but rather driven by desperation, it would've been nice to see that explored further as a moral dilemma.
Right? I also found it weird, how they just said "we'll drop you off at the nearest habitable planet" ... firstly, why would they do this to themselves, secondly, how were they expecting to explain to Atlantis that they just arrived unannounced in a ship that wasn't meant to travel between galaxies, how would they steal the ZPM and how would they just casually come back to SGC and go back? All of this would be much easier if they simply asked for help.
The sad part is, if they had just *asked* they would propably have been told the location of a ZPM that the prime team or atlantis found. I mean they did give the Frasier Team the cure for the Ori Plague. So it is not like the prime directive would have applied.
Everyone wants another stargate TV show... Stargate Multiverse command Where we help parallel Earths defeat their enemies. It could lead to seeing old characters come back...
What I was thinking when I first saw the episode (and just now) when they said they were returning the teams to their points of origin, there was at least one team that came through the gate with enemies hot on their tail... so, I wonder what happened to those teams.
to bad the scene where martuv comes into the room of 17 major carters isnt in the video. he has a huge smile on when he sees all the carters....i can think of a good reason why he was so happy ;D
@@rhas356 And technically at least one of them is Lieutenant Colonel Carter. (And conceivably, judging from "Point of View", there might even still be some Captain Carters in there? Maybe even some civilians, since they let Daniel and Jonas and Teal'C on the team without being military)
You'd think if they kept trying this over and over they'd eventually get to an alternate reality where there are ZPMs all over the place. Like one where the ancients never died out, the asurans are good guys, one where humanity learned how to make ZPMs, etc. Kind of a bag of worms they've opened here by making travel to alternate realities so easy.
I think the theory here is that all the alternate or multiverses are close to each other in outcomes so they'd have to really jump to another whole branch to find that.
It was cool they were all basically good though even the 'bad' ones. I remember one where the alts didn't want to return because their world was invaded .
@@joethornton9176 yes the one with sam and Kowalski, they end up having to go backto their universe bc 2 Carters in one universe was causing tremors. She was going into trophic cascade failure, so I wonder why this didn't happen on a worse scale during this episode.
@@danieltribley4557 ya. Alt Carter was only there for a short time before it started. So many different ones gathered over a long period of time here is could have been really bad. Maybe it didn't happen because the connection was still there between the universes since they were able to reverse it. Maybe just due to the method of entry it made it more stable then the mirror could(they exploited a black hole wich I would assume has a lot more power then a piece of technology aka the mirror)
@@joethornton9176 I thought They made it known in Sam and Kowalskis parallel episode that it was not bc of the mirror but 2 in the same reality, which is why they had to becareful with who went on the mission. I just think it's interesting that those TREMORS aren't even mentioned or worried about in this later episode RIPPLE EFFECT.
The fact of what they are talking about is very important to understand cause they are not making this up but they're not going to get the world to understand that what they're talking about
Thanks ! These videos takes a long time to make, so i dont do a lot, but i made a few others : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cNh_yNhvXGM.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_BDgn4ijw6Q.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fcSSbJRORaQ.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1htLQMES3_U.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Qq2U1tg_clw.html
Yeah u must... i already rewatch sg1 probably like 5 times now... but still want to watch it again. However now i dont have time anymore to watch everything n this helps... u can help humanity by doing this 😀😀😀😀
What stops the black SG-1 from doing it again, to a slightly different universe? Carter said there is an infinite amount of parallel universes. Surely there must be versions where the plan would work.
Why didnt they use the mark 2 naquida generator to power the chair in the Antarctic base? They used it for the chair in atlantis... well failed to get it working in time lol but still should have time to get ut right before the original show up
No it wouldn't work well. The Mark 2 generator got depleted very fast by Atlantis drones. And the city didn't have thousands of drones to control unlike in the Antarctic base.
So no one noticed sg1 wasn't wearing same clothes they left in

Keep this multiverse technology ready and primed so when a species manages to cause irreparable damage to Earth or in case of some type of natural disaster that causes the doom of our planet we can transfer the majority of the military and government families to a friendly universe so we can thrive on an empty habitable planet and start again.
1:36 - Two Crichtons. That wasn't such a happy thing last time I saw it. End of video - So... that team returning empty handed means that all of humanity is doomed in that timeline, right?
What I never understood about this episode was the last time SAM and Kowalski came from the parallel universe, Carter went into trophic cascade failure on the cellular level. How come nobody in this episode started having tremors?
Universes with quantum mirrors seem to be ‘far away’ within the multiverse, so entropic cascade failure may occur due to the difference in universe. These realities connected via wormhole are probably right next to each other and so cascade failure does not occur quickly.
@@Gatetraveller1 Interesting. The episode with Sam having tremors had me thinking it was all bc of 2 in 1 reality. They had even made it a point to say that's why only certain ppl could go on that mission. Thank you though. Evidently I've had it wrong all these years and still loved it. .
@@danieltribley4557 two versions in one reality is definitely the main factor, the differences in universe overall may play another. Both play a part, one more so than the other depending on the variables in place :)
