nihilityjoey The wraith is one of the main story arcs for the show and and it is specifically said through action of the ancients the wraith emerged in their current form from the eratus bug. Because, they take on aspects of the species they feed on. Something similar happens when fungus feeds on ants turning the into zombie ants.

No way they lost? there extinct and before they got obliterated by the wraith they all ran away to ascension some did some did not. And if you watched the entire SG-1 Series you will know why they are assholes. They are practically god like they are able to do things unimaginable both creative & destructive. They could rid the universe of all Evil but choose not too. and once they were asked for help from the SG characters lets just say they did not help. They made some so called unbreakable rule that they cannot interfere with any conflict what so ever just because they are capable of stopping it nothing more. Now tell me do you think they are assholes? if not tell me your opinion why not.

If you watched all of sg1, you would know that they had a strict non-interference policy for good reasons. The ori did not, and look at what happened to them. Greed was too powerful, they had to let things unfold as they may. To do with them "losing" you can easily see that would be ridiculous. Their technology was soooo far beyond that of the wraith they shouldn't have even been a nuisance. They had a near unlimited number of zpms, which would give their city or any ships they create UNLIMITED shielding power. They had control of time travel, the fastest sublight and warp drives, the strongest weapons (which they could also produce in an infinite quantity) that like one could take out a goauld mother ship. They were simply so much more advanced, they could have created a plague to kill the wraith. the replicators killed the asguard and they weren't even replicators made by the ancients, why didn't the ancient replicators kill the wraith? dumb. Humans technology is effective against the wraith, and humans controlling atlantis with like 10% of the city understood and like 1 zpm were able to severely damage the wraith, so why couldn't the ancients? Did I mention FUCKING TIME TRAVEL? lose a battle? go back in time and change it. Did you see the episode where sg1 uses those arm bands to become super human? The ancients were the smartest in the galaxy, it is safe to say anything any other civilization had so did they, they could have equip all of their people with those bands. What about when the goauld were experimenting with that mind altering device the ancients made? They made some people with ridiculous super powers through their minds. What about the super soldiers from sg1? Their armor absorbed energy blasts, and they were made by the goauld... Surely the ancients could have made a much better version of that armor. they had the power of creating people from scratch, so population wouldn't be a problem... just engineer people to be soldiers. The ori (the bad ancients) had those staff weapons, that could do a whole bunch of shit... the priors were bad ass, the ancients would have essentially all been priors. The one prior created a shield with just his staff that actually got stronger when you fired energy weapons at it, they could have made a shield like that around all of their ships. Not to mention go invisible like the nox, or phase through solid matter like the tolans. But they lost to a bug species? Give me a fucking break.

You sir just proved my point look at all the things the ancients did and made other people lives miserable. So much technology they created and work out wonderfully Shield technology, galaxy to galaxy Space Travel making lives FOR THE ANCIENTS ONLY easier. And they did not bother fixing there mistakes but instead abandon them and look what happen. Ori dominance of a galaxy Wraith Dominance of an another which they accidentally created. That plague in the milky way galaxy that they choose to leave behind. The list goes ON AND ON. you claim there great but their just selfish and idiotic scientist pacifist assholes. Oh BTW your mentioning what the SG Characters can do which does not have anything to do why the Ancient are Assholes comment your just trying to shift it someplace else. And before you try to mention the ancients defending the world from the wraith from Atlantis you and I cannot add anything to that statement only the fact they lost. they could of fixed anything they Ruined in Ascension like destroy the Replicators and wraith like you said created by the Ancients :) and got rid of the ORI but that something else entirely since they made themselves. And before you get even more HEATED just so you know I love the series I don't hate it just saying that the Ancients are assholes. Besides The show Star gate would of never existed without them and there mistakes. Which is maybe why they created the "Strict Non-Interference Policy" they created more problems just by existing. they choose not to do anything anymore and stay ascended in their immortal god mood that can do anything it must be paradise not worrying about anything anymore. Hell I would love to be in that position :)

I agree that they made all of those mistakes, and perhaps it makes them assholes. I never said they weren't assholes, I only asked why you felt they were. But what I care about, and in my opinion more importantly, I do not think there is a chance in hell they should have lost to the wraith! Ps, whether or not they could have defeated the ori is debatable, the ori were ascended too, and they had extra power from all of their worshipers. But I guess in a way you could say they did defeat the Ori, because of merlin's weapon. I love the show too :) and although they may be morally questionable, the ancients are my favorite because of how badass their technology was :)
