@@SweetThing grace is a mannequin for the last minute of the song then Mickey also turns into a mannequin. It doesn’t show either of them really singing that part in the video. They said that gave me goosebumps at the end, who is she? That was him at the end not her.

Love this song. It was in the movie Mannequin. Which was also awesome. If y'all get the chance you should watch it. A side note Mickey Thomas singing lead with Grace Slick on this is the guy who sang "Fooled around and fell in love" with the Elvin Bishop band in the 70s.

I went to the movies with my late husband to see this. Great movie ( The Manniquin, wrong spelling I think. Lol) The 80s had such amazing movies& music!! My late husband passed when I was 31& he was 35. We have 3 kiddos and @ the time the kiddos were 15, 13& 9. The hardest thing that I've ever had to do in my life was to tell those boys that their daddy was gone. My heart is still broken 💔 from that.😭 Always love,hug, and tell your people that you love them everyday!!! I love ya'll, HUGS 🤗❤

Asia & BJ, “Sara” & “We Built This City” are their other hits. I prefer the Jefferson Starship and Jefferson Airplane songs. You’ll love Jefferson Starships- “Miracles”, “Play On Love” and “Count On Me”. Chronologically it was Jefferson Airplane, Jefferson Starship and then Starship. Grace Slick was in all 3.

This band started in the 60s as Jefferson Airplane. In the 70s they became Jefferson Starship, and when founding guitarist Paul Kantner left, they became Starship. Grace Slick has been in the band since the Airplane days. She sang 2 of the Airplane's biggest hits, White Rabbit and Somebody To Love.

I'll be 50 later this year, and this has always been one of my favorite songs, from one of my favorite bands. By the way, in the video, the two other women who are singing backup are called The Nasty Habits, and they would go on to be the backup singers for Motley Crue. Cheers from northeast Ohio.

Grace Slick was in the original Jefferson Airplane and they had an early hit called White Rabbit. They had to change the name of the band because of a lawsuit by the company that owned a real airline with that name so they changed to to Jefferson Starship. They later dropped the Jefferson part and became just Starship.

We built this city...(on Rock-n-Roll) Then they became just Starship. Out of all music genres this is my all time favourite song ,period. I remember going to see the movie fantasy Rom Com Mannequin in my teenage years in the eighties and this was the main song on it's soundtrack. It got to number one over here in the UK. Great song from 1987's film Mannequin, not the best film but the song was a number 1 hit for them woooo! If you want, you can watch the film haha shoot. I do suggest their song "It's Not Enough." Guys, if you have a CVS Pharmacy in your area, they play it inside; also, it's still played on the radio. My parents and brother's family got back from Austin this week so I'm wearing a souvenir Texas The Lone Star State shirt right now haha.
