A nice lecture, but please note that the structure drawn for fMet is incorrect.

Formylmethionine is not drawn correctly as shown. It is missing the hydroxyl group of the carboxylic C-terminus, and the amide bridge between the alpha-carbon and the formyl group.

Hi... where is the Tata-box? is that the same as the shine-dalgarno??? and thank you so much for all of your lectures! I am enjoy them very much here in Denmark:-)

Good question! The TATA box is part of the promoter in transcription (DNA to RNA) in eukaryotes and prokaryotes. The shine-dalgarno is the "promoter" equivalent but in translation (RNA to protein) for prokaryotes. This sequence is called the Kozak sequence for eukaryotes. Make sense?

From this perspective everyone has the potential to logically understand the full sequence of creation...now create the table of functions as a potential difference or attraction as an elementary particle distribution of a biological entity... master the code???
