Is the 2018 Honda Civic Hatchback Sport actually sport? Lets check out the features and find out. I got to do a full walkaround and startup of this 2018 Civic Hatchback sport and I was actually pretty impressed. Compared to the Civic Sedan, it actually has heavier weighted steering for a better feel and more of a sport tuned suspension. We own a 2018 Civic Hatchback Touring. Recently while in 30k miles, we faced issues with the A/C compressor, and initially, Honda denied the warranty claim. However, two weeks ago, we received a letter stating that Honda has extended the warranty from 3 to 10 years. If you're experiencing A/C problems, it's likely due to a compressor leak. The compressor leak issue occurs in Honda Civic models from 2016 to 2021

For all the people wondering about 1.5T civic Hb oil problem , the secret is to change it every 3k miles or 5k so IMO it’s worth it and sporty .. my friend has 2018 with 64k miles and no problems at all .. 👍🏽thank you

I owned the 2018 for 10 months now, and owned a 2003 Honda Civic EX. The 2018 looks better, more power, has a 6th gear, and more room. But the shifting and steering is less sporty. The steering takes more motion to turn. The manual shifter is clunky. Overall I really like my 2018 Sport Hatchback. I’m not a fan of most of the colors but I have the “Polished Metal” color with black wheels. I get lots of compliments.

Me too. The shift linkage (6 speed manual) has been my only real complaint. A really good mechanic at the dealer has greatly improved it, though.

I’m not familiar with cars what so ever but I am looking so get one and I know some features I want my car to have so what Honda would you recommend that has a power moonroof, built in navigation, touch screen radio system, back seat passenger ac, fold down seats, back up camera and comes in white exterior and white/beige, off white interior??

Thanks for asking! Well I would probably go with the Accord because it has everything on your list there and it pretty nice inside. The Civic does too depending on trim level but I don’t think they have back. Seat A/C vents...I’d have to check. Any interest in an SUV or just the cars?

I bought the 6MT in Rallye Red 3 months ago. I am loving it so far. We will see come new England winter (I plan on getting snow tires) how she does. So far great little car fun to drive, AND imo the best looking civic to date.

I bought one too -- same color. Agree with your opinion 100%. It's not the best looking Honda on the road (a little too "busy" -- looks like the designer finished his work and then went on adding too it). It's a blast to drive though.

Sounds like the american and the canadian model do have some differences, like the push button starter that comes standard with Sport and Sport Touring. Key Ignition only available with the LX. Same as with the black trim that is an option on canadian models. Also the speed sensing whiper come standard on Sport trim here in Canada... Mostly like more the american models thought...

A dual clutch transmission could be a better option than cvt for the overall package.

dual clutch? lmao forget all that shit, how about a regular 6-8 speed transmission. CVT's are definitely a big turn off for any enthusiastic driver. CVT's with paddle shifters really dont make much sense either, as there are no gears, so the CVT just drones on,

Good question, I went back to look at the video and didn’t see it so I looked at the specs for it...it doesn’t say any trim has an Aux. but you can still play USB device through stereo or Bluetooth.

This is a really low spec Sport. Uk the sport only have LED headlights for starters, GPS and all are 1.5 turbo engines push button start, with the sports plus having sunroof, lumber, blis, damper alignment amongst various others.

That dealership is only an hour from me. I'm in Fort Worth and the prices for their civics is cheaper than Honda of Fort Worth... I know where I'm going for my next civic.

Very nice! I have no direct affiliation with them or incentive if you buy, but I’ve purchased from them and talk with the General Sales Manager, John Frazier, and the Assistant GM regularly about the videos and if you say you saw the video they might work with you even more. I’d call em and get your price before you go then they’ll have it ready for you to drive away when you get there 👍

That's awesome. I'll definitely keep that in mind. Right now I'm saving up for my down payment. My goal is to save up 10k so my monthly payments are low. Only a little bit more to go. I'm for sure going to call them beforehand. Not going to lie, it would be a lot of fun to have an hour long drive to get home after buying a new car as opposed to driving only about 20 minutes.

If it was me I would ask for Tanner Maxwell..he seems to be one of the friendliest and most helpful sales people from my time coming and going there. is it possible to get the 7 in. touch screen installed in the sport model? I don't want to buy an after market radio I want the OEM radio thats in the ex or higher models, simply because I want the 6- speed manual transmission

Sadly no...at least not buying it that way. Not sure if they could rig it up that way but I’ve never seen it. It’s a bummer that stuff isn’t available on this trim 😕

spend the extra 2 grand on the ex you don't get cool exhaust and pedals but push to start sunroof automatic start heated seats bigger screen with the same specs...

Does this require premium fuel? This might be a dealbreaker for me, since higher octane fuel pricing is very expensive in Canada. I wonder how much it would impact the reliability of the car if I kept filling it with regular fuel.

Camar4an I’ve wondered about this too and done some reading about it. All I ever find is that it’s “recommended, not required”. Supposedly you will get the full benefit of extra power from this engine with premium but it can run on regular. As far as reliability I don’t know..wish I could help you more!

A bit late to the party, but since I've owned the car, I noticed a definite difference in using premium fuel vs regular. MPG isn't as good, and performance is noticibly different.

So you won't ruin the engine with regular gas? Premium is jst for extra oomph like a non turbo. Amazing mpg with good hp. Perfect car it's like a CRV married a veloster and had a sporty, practical baby. I guess this competes against the juke and the mazda3and maybe the kia soul+

I would not run on regular gas, but premium is not REQUIRED (as said above). This middle grade seems okay.

I dnt know man I got 2017 but I just feel like the quality of materials used is soft nd kinda cheap ...alllll in the name of next level tech....Everything is tied up with push clips and it fuckin becomes loose within an year....Everything is plastic the seals between the bonnet and front grill coming loose the side skirts r like its made of air not really bolted tight ....and its made in usa ...thats the biggest disappoint....it dnt look like usa quality

Car is brilliant! But cant say about trim. That trim.is absolutely rubbish! Adjustable seats on sport model? Oh that should be a mock! Exterior is shining! Well looking than EX. And that dual exhaust is a shine of this cat. But nothing to talk about interior. There is absolutely nothing. Boring, too much boring beeing inside that trim. And i believe by time that interior makes you hate the choice you done buyung this trim.
