Starting Seeds Early Without Grow Lights

I wanted to thank you last fall for your watermelon videos, especially the container grow watermelons but, never did thank you. So, here I am thanking you for the inspiration!!! 😊 I choose to plant your favorite watermelon, the Blue Ribbon Klondike, in 10 gallon container. I used only organic fertilizer (my own mix), and was successful in growing a 14 lb Klondike. It tasted Sooooo good, very sweet, crisp, and fresh tasting. Out of around 4 or 6 starter melons (melons that were pollenated and started to grow), I could only get one watermelon to go the distance, the rest would stop growing after around 3 inches. Thank you very much!!

I've always started my seeds December 29 every year, and sometime i have planted out doors Feb,16 it all depends (Zone9a)....I havn't tried Lunix Lettuce yet ,but i have planted and harvested Merlots...so beautiful and delicious it will be a yearly go to plant.

You don't make many videos. I believe I subscribe perhaps over a year . You should suggest the garden soil temperatures I've waited for 50s tomato and 60s soil temperatures for peppers. And agree that 10 day forecast is dangerous so should be double checked as you suggest I'm now learning crops do tolerate temperatures very different and radishes starts first in my garden and my wife enjoys the bounty also really late season.
