I absolutely love and enjoy these retro games. I really don't care much for modern games. Luckily developers realized that older gamers have deeper pockets than younger gamers. Huntdown is another well done retro game that any retro gamer should get.

This looks really neat and I like the mechanic of using a zip line to help you get around. It’s nice to have the variety of difficulty options as well. It’s great to hear the audio and gameplay is good too. It seems like a great homage to the arcade games of old. Hopefully the devs will consider a multiplayer mode down the line too. I’ll have to put this one on my wishlist. Thanks for the review.

This looks like a must buy for me! Beautiful pixel art and 2d side rolling and platforming! Brings me back to snes and ps1 megaman games! Great review! I always look forward to your review OleGamerJoe!!

I unfortunately see many a "beat and refund" on Steam for this one. Apparently it only takes an hour to complete

Hate to see that stuff happen. It's a quick play but as was mentioned lots of difficulty options. Worth supporting!

It IS a very short game, but it also never loses steam or becomes a slog. Its also a fantastic showcase for some REALLY pretty pixel art and animation. I wouldn't have minded another level or two, but this is easily a game I'll revisit on harder settings and enjoy when I just want a quick title to play through without needing to hunker down and get invested. I kinda clumsily just blazed through my first playthrough on Easy and didn't feel like much of a badass afterwards. I intend to remedy that. Its also 10% off if you buy it on Switch, so you can get it for a little over 13 USD. I hope the devs and Tribute aren't hurt too much over supposed "beat and refund" folks on Steam though.

I’ve been psyched for this one’s release for awhile. Kinda bummed it’s only 5 stages but that was par for the course with arcade action games of yesteryear. Found out the composer of the soundtrack also did the music for a few of my other favorite indies like Devil Engine, World of Horror, and ZeroRanger, so I know it’ll be one to jam out to. Thanks for the review.

this wes a nice review. very succinct but informative at the same time. I've never seen ur vids before so we can thank the algorithm for me finding you. you got a new sub from me today. As far as the game goes my biggest gripe with the game is the short length. having said that. the enjoyment i got from the game outweighs the prob lem with the length. interesting take on a tried and true genre and the grapple hook made things interesting. plus i love the crt screen filter options. but yea good review for a great little indie title!

anything Tribute Games puts out is going to make me turn my head, even if they're just publishing. had my eye on this one, glad to see a positive review. the zip-line looks super satisfying. aesthetically, it looks like it would have been the greatest GBA game of all time. something about the borders are the washed-together look of certain things, like you pointed out. definitely picking this up!

The graphics are unbelievable, it feels like a lost masterpiece from the Neo Geo. Can't wait for it to come out on Switch.

Anyway to remove those annoying side black borders? Anyways looks good looks like megaman and castlevania had a baby circa 1989. I love video games with whips as weapons and the easier difficulty options. Seeing comments saying the game is short but for me and gaming it is quality over quantity and fun over graphics. Thank you for your review. P.S when will we know the results on if your female content creators won that contest we voted for? Hope you win. You guys deserve it and have my support 👍

You do have a variety of resolution and border options! They are counting votes now but if you don't hear anything it's safe to assume the girls didn't win! It's an honor to be nominated regardless

I haven't unlocked everything yet (Still going for those harder difficulties!) But I did grab some artwork for completing the game once. I'll keep you updated as I hopefully beat it more haha. It's pretty tough but I haven't seen any weapon related upgrades yet.

Not really much different from other arcade games of the past honestly. And with the addition of difficulty options and a very challenging arcade mode you have reasons to go back. Sometimes it's not about how long a game is but about how fun it is.
