Two of the most fun players to watch in their respective sports, playing at the same time in the same city (Flutie and Hasek). Our only two teams were edge of your seat TV every game. And with No Goal, the Music City Forward Pass, and No Goal II, it was all over. What a time while it lasted!
Sabres made " Cujo" look like lassie !! in that series. man what a fun time that spring / summer was. Buffalo was such a excited city to be in there was ABSOLUTELY nobody on the streets when it was game time!
Game 1, that third period save by Dom with the stick! You eve read Rayzors book? Ottawa players later told him they knew they were being swept after game one
@@thomasbraunjr.1025 Yeah, Hasek got 'em good. Loved the first two games in Ottawa stopping 85 out of 88 saves. I loved when Hasek outsaved his opponents like Tuggernautts & Damian Rhodes. On the other hand, they all allowed six goals apiece.
They played really unique this season, i never saw them in this type of form again. They hit alot, shut down alot of people just about every team they could shut down, they faught alot, got penaltys, but converted on any slither of a chance they got. They were really good at converting when they had the chance to, and they knew this to because they ran with this style once they saw it was working.
@@donsperrazza2151 same here. My dad came home from the game and said he couldn't watch them raise the cup. He asked if I was okay. Just as you know us buffalonians breathe hockey. Even through the last few years. Would be a madhouse if we won a cup
man how spoiled we were having hasek for many years then having ryan miller as his successor soon after. i took it for granted we have not had nowhere near the quality of goaltending since!!! hutton ullmark are not what we need. ullmark can be a quality backup but i think he will sign elsewhere this offseason? however we do have peka laukkien i know his name i spelled wrong but he looked solid before he was injured this past season
@@pjsebadoh5412 Although I despise the Eagle for his drunken past, he kinda deserved a cup too. Hasek was the one key factor in his whole team. I feel sad for Rhett Warrener too, 'cause he was part in another Cinderella run where he was favored to win: 2004 Calgary Flames. Roman Turek was part in that run too. Just like Hull and Hasek were in 2002 against Martin Gelinas and the Canes.
@@dannythomas417 ok, that's fair, I was simply saying, you have no base to say...."they would have lost anyway" I'm guessing you know how whacky hockey can be, and if you have a hot goalie, ...well, shit...I guess we'll never know.
