My adventure in making healthy breads started years ago. I have tried making sourdough. I wanted to make healthy breads with sourdough, as well as to make the breads I made well-risen, soft and puffy. It hasn't been easy. My yeast has come to a full boil. I lost him. (Died). Making sourdough again and bringing it to a certain consistency took a long time to understand its language. I hope I will try to shoot a video of sourdough bread.
Sourdoughs we prepare may not give the desired effects at first. Ripening it and turning it into bread dough will be determined after a few trials. Let's not get discouraged just because I couldn't set the sourdough. Let's continue the work.
After Establishing the Sourdough:
Let's put our yeast in the refrigerator, check it from time to time and see its condition.
In our yeast; If there are signs of looseness or watering, add 1/3 of flour and water until it turns into a thick dough. Let's do these checks periodically.
When we are making bread:
Let's take our yeast out of the fridge and wait until it comes to room temperature.
Let's take half of the yeast into the bowl where we will knead the dough.
Add 1 cup of flour to it. Let's make a dough of medium consistency with water.
This is what we call yeast activation. Bread dough can be made with activated yeast.
Let's add flour to the remaining yeast and form a thick dough with a little water.
Let's wait for it to activate a little, then put it in the refrigerator.
