Am so happy viewing this special video. I just started my own farming yesterday with a total of 108 yams. I will not allow this divine development pass me by. Kindly get me updated on how to manage it because i want to develop other crops. God bless you my able instructor. Indeed knowledge is power!
I loved every moment of this video... Finally a complete guide with clear instructions. I'm planning to grow some of these in May, and I have no experience growing them, I'm a new garderner but very passionate about learning how to grow my own food. I am so happy I found this video... Definitely subscribing.
Thats great Kylie. Did you succeed in growing them in may as you planned? Here is the harvest video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-PPJ-LBuVCzY.html
It's very a good method that can help someone who has not gotten any land to practice farming and also saved me from cost of buying bamboo sticks. thanks so much and God bless you.
God bless you for this , in the uk Bags are also used to plant potatoes and sweet potatoes that is harvested in about 100 days this will provide work for unemployed city dwellers
This is wonderful! Quick question please...did you mix any manure like chicken drops or fertilizer with the soil? If not, can I mix dried chicken drops with the sand ? Finally can I start to wet the planted yam immediately.?
Very well. Can you plse show us a harvesting video. How long does it take from this time of planting to harvesting time, assuming an adequate water supply?
How often do I need to water the yams when there’s no rain? Because i have plans to start by January next year and I want to plant throughout every season non stop… i more worried of how to sustain them through dry season… please I’d need your advice 🙏
Bro I enjoyed your video but how do you apply you fowl dropping and when ?? ...can you mix with your loamy soil and water for a week before planting ..u need your view
We’ve not experimented with planting them in dry season. I guess we’ll try that in the coming dry season. But during the rainy reason not much cos rain most times does what it is expected to do. Whenever we go 3 to 4 days without rain then we water them
Tie a rope/thread next to the yam and intertwine the tendrils with the thread. As the yams grows, it follows the thread upwards. Remember yams will only thread vertical ropes and not horizontal ropes.
No dear you don't plant those big ones ooo,if u go to the local market in season of farming ( March, April May) u will find yam seedlings that you can grow, you will find other stuffs that you can grow
Thanks for sharing your process. Just stumbled on your channel today. I had some cut out that had sprouted and really grown I planted them in bags today my process was quite different. I hydrated the soil overnight and planted this morning. I added cow dung and some egg shells I have been saving. How often should one water?Did I do right!? I will definitely add some dry leaves by tomorrow. Can we do the same for Irish and sweet potatoes ?
Yes you did right. Hydrating the soil is necessary either before planting or after. I’m glad you were able to plant some. You can do the same for sweet or Irish potato as well. We will be making video on that soon.
