Thanks Sajam, been going through it in real life the last few months and your videos have helped me focus on something instead of spiralling into despair. You keep policies out mostly and just focus on the street fighting.
In the Tachikawa(Manon) vs Momochi(Ed) match is a perfect example of how you can get steamrolled in this game. I've seen it so much and it has definitely happened to me. Is it mental or an actual part of the game. It happens so frequently to make me believe it's a mental thing
It’s a mental thing. Just gotta buckle down and lock in and you can make a comeback most of the time so long as all your gauges arent low or empty. If you’re down on health AND meter AND drive gauge then your chances of taking that round are like 5-15% depending on how much health they have. If you have more meter or drive gauge that number goes up significantly and if you’re good at combos and neutral then it goes up again
Regarding the Cammy tourney viability talk during 2nd match- I think the thing that's tough for Cammy, especially when compared with the other high tiers, is that she doesn't have anything that's just outright cheap or overpowering (especially since the spin knuckle nerf). Pair that with her low base damage and somewhat limited combo routes, it means she has to work harder and be more fundamentally sound than say Rashid or Ken. Guile has a similar problem, though with different limitations and gameplan. LOL at people saying Jab and c.Strong are OP after watching Punk- dude's literally the best in the world at checking drive rush offenses, can't be making balance changes off one dude's crazy reaction skills.
I’m sort of a longtime Cammy hater since at least SF5 (and even since 4, technically), and there’s no way she is so good in this version of the game that she is markedly ‘better’ than every other character. Punk really is just fucking excellent at the game. She’s a really strong character for sure, though, just not strong in the way that the other strong characters in this game are.
The one character I couldn’t beat for the longest on hardest against the computer was cammy … this was my Marisa not Rashid but I never seen nothing like it I couldn’t do anything for a while cammy speed and normals almost like she connects after u get up and can’t get anything out fast enough, nobody uses her lvl 2 to make a combo out of it or finish its a great lvl 2 , character is a A character like chun li
