Steph Curry is no stranger to playing through injury, and it seems he will do so again for tonight's Game 4 matchup in the NBA Finals. The Golden State Warriors will look to even up the series against the Boston Celtics once again, and while Chris Broussard admires Steph's dedication, he's not sure how effective the star will be in tonight's game if this injury is anything like the one he suffered when Marcus Smart landed on his foot in March.

I usually don’t agree with Nick but in this case I do. It’s not about the media crowning Steph as Chris was trying to say it’s more about them protecting him. So with this injury if they lose and he doesn’t play well they have that or if they win and he plays well it’s his defining moment in the Finals. Basically setting up a narrative

I find nothing wrong with this narrative because that's what it is. Injuries to star players, and legends like Curry, is absolutely disappointing. We are all here to see 2 teams at full strength... Now if Curry goes out, the Celtics possibly win the finals, but it falls short of a defining memorable series that we were all looking for.

Steph really the most protected suoerstar since Michael Jordan , losses don’t affect his legacy , wins aid his legacy and the “best shooter ever” pseudo achievement leaps him over guys who had to single-handedly receive scrutiny and carry the load as underdogs. We didn’t criticize steph for missing the playoffs entirely with a similar cast minus Klay Thompson and now when he has trouble getting it done in the 4th we give him a pass. If we had lowered expectations for him we must value him lower plain and simple

That's a great point by Broussard. Steph is obviously an all-time great, but he still hasn't had an iconic finals game. In Game 3 versus Boston, it looked like he was going to go for 40 points and the win, but his 4th quarter was really disappointing. Update: Stephen Curry had his all time great finals performance in Game 4 versus Boston.

When are people going to just give the Celtics credit, Steph played an outstanding game. Boston's Coach made a great adjustment in the 4th quarter, he knew that Steph had exerted a lot of energy in the previous quarters, can you guys see what this man is doing defensively against Curry, Steve Kerr is being out coached. Boston is forcing Steph to play defense and they are keeping fresh bodies on him quarters 1-3. It's actually a great strategy, It's designed to make him lose his legs for the final quarter. Poole has got to play better so that Kerr can rest him in different spots. I give Boston's Coaching staff and the players have bought into it. WATCH FILM GENTLEMEN...

A I, would not have one ring on the Warriors. All Steph really has is Klay, Draymond is undersized and can't shoot. 2 guys have done it on this team with a few decent role players. Of course KD was a big help, but look at what's happened to him at New Jersey, Boston swept him. Don't count Steph out my friend. He's definitely a top 10 player ever. Nick is completely wrong about Steph being healthy in the 2016 WCF and then suddenly hurt again. Prior to the 2016 finals, ESPN reported that he reinjured his sprained knee. And if you rewatch 2016 wcf game 7, he grabs his knee at the end of the first half after an awkward fall. And even though the warriors went up 2-0 to open the finals, he looked compromised. He couldn't drive around Kevin Love and Nick wants me to think Steph was healthy and just choking? Alright

Don’t usually agree with Nick but the Steph apologists are out. He shouldn’t won finals MVP in 2015 they were down 2-1 putting Iggy in starting lineup changed series Warriors won 4 straight and he hit big shots Steph didn’t hit one. Iggy averaged 20 game when he started 12 coming off bench. Steph is averaging 2 points in 3 4th quarters in this series and no one but Skip Rob Parker and Nick are calling him out that 3 out of hundred plus talking heads. When you talk about players that are either great or they are injured (the media's excuse), you have to mention Jimmy Butler. Butler was horrible in games 3 and 4. No credit to the Celtics defense. Jimmy is injured. Then Butler has an amazing game 5, 6 and 7 and no one is talking about Butler being injured, and no one is now giving kudos to the Celtics defense for the games where Butler was ineffective.
