MJ was a tough person to be around, and when he played the game, he wanted to score, but him scoring dont win championships. I thought the same thing for years, but I blame it on Jerry Reinsdorf. He should have step in long before it turned toxic. He never did. Don't get me wrong. @RiceDaddy07 2 года назад
False. MJ's time was passing and Krause knew it. Like many good GM's, he decided to cash in on the future, and usher in new talent. The Bulls team he grew after MJ was outstanding. People tend to forget how amazing the Baby Bulls were and how Tyson Chandler and Eddy Curry were injuries away from being twin towers. Chandler was projected to be a 35ppg, 20 rebound machine while Curry showed promise he would be a better version than Shaq. Everyone wants to see the MJ era with some rose-tinted glasses. Truth is, MJ was a very mediocre athlete who paid refs to look the other way. I was alive back then. One time MJ missed a dunk, and they still counted it. This happened often. When the Bulls lost to the Jazz twice in the Finals, I was there live. The gathered everyone in attendence and gave them a choice. Either accept a cash payment of $2000 and keep our mouths shut about who really won, or they shot people on sight. I witnessed many people dying that day. I accepted $2000. This is what really happened and I hope the truth comes out one day. I'm still shook at how the NBA and the media are corrupted at the core.

I think the real slap in the face to Scottie was the actual "slap in the face" from Oakley when Pip was a rookie. I had never seen that piece of video until The Last Dance. You know MJ had full authority to keep that in the documentary or take it out. If MJ really thought of Pip as his "little brother" he could have made sure that wasn't included. I think that was just one of the things that pissed Scottie off not to mention that he was branded as being selfish for delaying his surgery which caused him to miss some of the season. If Jordan had showed solidarity with Scottie they both would have gotten new contracts. I don't think Scottie was jealous of Jordan. He was just annoyed that Jordan made everything about him including the SELFISH stunt to go play baseball which probably cost the Bulls two championships.

MJ cultivated Scottie and mentored him into greatness. Scottie and MJ's journey was one thing and one thing only, " Winning Rings." Every flaw, every character defect was part of the ingredients, that arguably gave the basketball world the greatest tandem,to ever grace our vision. Scottie didn't win without MJ and MJ didn't win without Scottie. Neither switched teams,as is the case now days. They stayed committed to knowledge and confidence of winning together. I lived across the street from the Bulls stadium. I knew close people on the inside and people within their social lives. I was there. It was a nasty vicious glorious ride. Bj Armstrong, Horace Grant, Tony Kukoc, most relevant players where featured, and has problems with MJ, but nobody got their feelings hurt for something that happened 20 plus years ago, and they all said the last moment they were together MJ opened up to them. The last dance showed what Michael had to sacrifice in order to maintain his role as the face of the league, no tattoos, no drugs, keeping a good relationship with the media and so forth, the expectation of a massive fan base, he couldn't be himself, he couldn't cuddle his teammates, the man was expected to win no matter what and that's what he did, and Pippen knew that, and know he gets to turnish everybody legacy for a book?

What was The Last Dance doing but telling the story of the Jordan era Bulls? Are those stories not part of it? For heavens sake Scottie, it didn't make you look bad, it WAS bad. But it certainly made the front office look WORSE and it should have. Scottie's mad about money. He made about 106.5 million dollars (at a minimum) more in 17 years than I have in a lifetime that's first off. Second off, nothing was stopping him from getting endorsements. Not like nobody knew his name. He needs to stop crying and move on he would be an excellent addition to any coaching staff, front office, or sports media. Go get your money there Scottie.

Let's be honest here. MJ has given Scottie more credits more than anyone else. MJ says without Scottie there is no MJ, but I know the Fact is that it completely the opposite. There is no Scottie without MJ. MJ is already MJ when he come to the league. Remember when Scottie in his early day he average barely 7pts per game. Averaging 7 pts a game but rebounding/assisting the rock all while locking down the oppositions biggest offensive threat. Sometimes multiple. MJ would’ve kept making the playoffs with losing records and getting blown off the floor in the 1st round had it now been for the bulls management putting a stacked roster around him while the stars in the league who were actually winning began to age and reach their end

honestly as great as De Niro is Pesci may have our acted him in Goodfellas and Definitely out acted him in Casino and the Irishman. In Goodfellas both Tony the Ant Spilotro & Frank Rosenthal the real life people who Ace Rothstein & Nicky Santoro we're supposed to be, were Outfit guys from Chicago, they both had Chicago accents, mannerisms, and used Chicago Vernacular in real life and Joe Pesci absolutely nailed this is Casino. As an Italian who Grew up in Bridgeport in Chicago and who has Relatives in places like Franklin Park, Melrose Park and Bensenville, I noticed that Pesci Not the great method actor DeNiro picked up on these things about Outfit guys from Chicago and Nailed the performance while Bobby just imitated his performances of New York wiseguys. Well I am sorry it absolutely shows. You can RU-vid Videos of Frank Rosenthal talking with his heavy Chicago Accent and watch how he acts, it won't take you 5 minutes to realize Pesci nailed the role of an Outfit Mobster, while De Niro significantly missed the mark. Most people probably figure Chicago ( outfit guys) & New York ( five family guys) to sound pretty much the same but they actually do not, so I am sure most people missed this but that comparison was a little off. Michael Jordan is more like Daniel Day Lewis, he absolutely has no equal in his field. In his profession MJ like Lewis is the best who ever did it and in both instances the second best person really is not even close. Jack Nicklson & LeBron while great, just are DDL or MJ, there just not!

What's Scottie hurting from, the fact that HE chose to not come into that game in 1994 or the fact it was in th documentary? They brought up MJ's issues in "The Last Dance" as well. Scottie made a poor decision back in 94 (we all do, were human). But he wants to still hide from it and pretend it never happened. It's a REAL part of the 90's Bulls story, ESPECIALLY since it was Kukoc that hit the shot (and all the grief Pip and MJ gave Kukoc in the 92 Olympics). Scottie has been hiding from that play in 94 ever since. It happened man, come to terms with it. That's not mJ's fault, he wasn't even there.

However everything is fact from the migraine, foot surgery etc. Pippen is the one who confirmed this in addition to many including Jordan telling him not to sign tho contract. What is the issue Pippen has heard fellow players current and past call him the Robin of the Bullls to Jordan being Batman. Pippen is upset and it’s wrong to be upset at Jordan because of how the media and fellow past/present players view you. The truth is many things Pippen did made him respected but not revered and celebrated.

Pip hosted a charity basketball game and couldn’t get the tickets sold, and the man he’s bashing had absolutely no interest in playing. Yet he suited up just to help Pip, once the news circulated #23 was playing the arena sold out... and Pip still tried some dirty tricks he stacked his team with all the best players invited and left MJ the rest.... and for those that don’t know MJ dropped 50 fifty beat Pips team and talked trash afterwards. Now if he stooped to stacking a team for charity imagine what he’d do for his own benefit through book sales...

These guys were together for a long time. Even if you weren’t best friends…a man’s father was murdered and you intentionally didn’t express your condolences. That’s ice cold. I’m not sure if calling him a coward is the correct word…but he’s some sort of despicable word. There’s just no excuse for that. It’s unforgivable. I had as much love for Scottie as I did for MJ. Not anymore. To see someone burning bridges as fast as Scottie is, I hope someone is checking on him. From the outside, it seems like a plea for help. I hope he gets it. I hope the Scottie that we all grew to love and respect comes back someday.

I get why Pippen feels the need to come defend or change his legacy. I mean, his name became the very definition of Robin around the world. He is such a great player and it's impossible to live thru all the underlaying insult every time he is praised for his part in his achievements. But the bottom line is, the more he comes out like this, the more he is destroying his legacy

This is sad. Scottie Pippen had a great career... his greatness is still being recognized upto this time when he was voted to the 75th nba greatest players of all timen.. but instead of appreciating all that he gripes. Something must be distorting his vision which is why he can't see how blessed he is. this is where all the negativity is coming from. Bec of that he needs constant validation.
