You can be a contender and have your championship closed. Just look at Houston on 2017, 2018, 2019. The championship window for that team got closed in those 2018 western conference finals where the 27 straight missed threes buried them alive. Yes, they were contenders in 2019, but it wasn't the same. It was known they weren't winning though they had the material to contend.

Both are true. Half a inch and Brooklyn faces Suns in the finals (no way they don't beat Suns). And the Suns/Bucks series came down to two clutch plays by the Bucks in game 4 and 5. Even game 6 was close. Bucks were the more experienced team and they knew how to win in the clutch.

lmao but how is JJ wrong? The suns are on a 16 game winning streak. They are second in the west with a game behind the Warriors. It wasn't consensus until recently that the warriors had a chance to win the finals and the suns haven't even gotten any love what's so ever to repeat. Yes Steph is better than Chris Paul but that also doesn't mean he can't create a similar impact to combat with Steph. Both teams matchup very well and I don't think the Suns window just closed like that. I think it just most people like Steph and the Warriors and want them to win the most. It doesn't mean the Suns don't have a chance to get back to the Finals with as much better bench this year.

Steph is averaging more points in the finals than Kareem, Magic, and Kobe and most others. Even Award and Ring resume's are the not the sole way you judge someones greatness. Steph is one of the great shooters, great passers, great ball handlers, great one on one players, great at moving without the ball, great teammate. To me the most skilled player to ever do it. Has been able to dominate with below average athleticism and size. Really amazing because I predicted he wouldnt even make it in the league.
