Dwyane Wade vs 1nd option in the Finals. *2011 Finals: Dwyane Wade=26.5-ppg. FG-54% >>>>>>>>>>>>>> Dirk Nowitzki=26-ppg. FG-41.6%.* MJ would never have lost if his teammate played so well. Phoenix Suns - 13 game winning streak. Klay Thompson has returned to 5 on 5 practice while the Warriors are #1 in PPG, #2 in Offensive Rating, #1 in Opponents PPG, and #1 in Defensive Rating. Heat, Bulls and Wizards exceeding expectations, two of those teams are loaded with Ex-Laker players. There was a ton of players that said they feared playing against him. They didn't want to trash talk him cuz he would drop 50 that night if they did. Reggie Miller the best trash talker in the league at that time wouldn't say a peep against mj. Stephen a was right this time and I don't agree with quite a few of his takes. Even Perkins couldn't really come back to defend his position so he tried to take it another direction. Saying Bron takes people under his wing, Jordan wanted to clip everyone's wings off he demanded to be the best play against the best not team with the best. See the difference.
@thetrib1
@thetrib1 2 года назад
@@blairbryan4040 it's the same with any great. It's not fear. It's respect. Like many greats lebron went to the finals 8 straight Years! You don't think opponent's in the east during that stretch looked at lebron as a menace??? Someone they didn't want to face? I do. I think if you were any player in the east during that run you'd put your hand on your head in frustration. So no... it's not fear with MJ or any great. It's the feeling of knowing you're not good enough to stop him, trying to stop him, and then Ultimately not being able to all during the run. I kinda why some people say MJ ruined basketball lol. People can't think straight when trying to idolize him. He the goat, but it's awkward now
@sfchampionsbasketball9665
@sfchampionsbasketball9665 2 года назад
Yeah I’m gonna have to say that you’re wrong on this one. The way they all talked and still talk about Mike to this day would prove otherwise. Mike didn’t wanna beat me, he wanted to destroy and claim your soul. Players feared that. They feared crunch time MJ. The players you mentioned didn’t get a ship because of prime MJ. Players have been getting championships during prime Lebron years. That’s a major difference
@blairbryan4040
@blairbryan4040 2 года назад
@@thetrib1 do you hear people say the same things with LeBron no. There's a legit reason behind that. He tries to befriend everyone. You dont fear a friend. People trash talk LeBron on the court all the time. Yes some of it is respect but it was alot more than just respect that made Jordan different. Kobe or Jordan would sooner destroy you on the basketball court than become your friend. Jordan never ever wanted Reggie or Barkley or Ewing on his teams he wanted to beat them every chance he got because that's how you make a legacy. LeBron would sooner have an all star team than compete against them. That's a huge difference. And if you think that's riding so be it because everything I just said is truthful even if it hurts your narrative. To be the best you have to beat the best.
@thetrib1
@thetrib1 2 года назад
@@blairbryan4040 it's the same. I know Jordan's image is of a god, but he's human. There are others like him. Lebron is no different either. People feared their abilities but not the person or player themselves. Go watch demar's interview on jj Reddick podcast. Or gilbert arenas when he talks about lebron. Then go see how Kevin garnett or Paul pierce was talking about lebron. It's different strokes for different folks. Damar didn't fear lebron but you can tell he was tired of playing him, while the celtics wanted to play him. Players don't fear the greats in the way you think. It's more of a respect thing than a fear thing. With people like lebron( Kobe, Jordan, Hakeem, Shaq, Magic, Bird, etc..) if they have equal or better than talent compared to the opposing all star... they win most of the time. The pistons wanted to knock jordan silly, and then Jordan's teams got better. Same with the celtics and lebron. If jordan continued playing with mediocre teams he wouldn't have won.... so no. If jordan spent more time on a less than great team he would've left. Jordan ain't doing what damian Lillard is doing. Kobe's included in that. You bring up jordan wanting to beat barkley Ewing or reggie.... not quite on his level, but ok. Who were their scottie pippin's?? And were any of them better than scottie? Same goes with kobe(who couldn't say he was the best player on his team till shaq left), how many of the players he went against can say they had a shaq level player. Lebron leaving shows more that he wanted to win more than anything. So he evened the playing field and still lost 😆. Michael jordan never had to beat the best though. Michael jordan in his earlier years was losing to the best, and then the best got old, and then the bulls swooped right in to take that mantle. Lebron has beaten the best...the warriors, but he also lost to the mavs. NBA players don't fear NBA players. NBA players understand the situation and that can make them tight, but it's not because they're afraid that MJ or Lebron will go at them. They know they're ballers. So again. Jordan, like the other greats, was respected not feared by his peers. People felt they wouldn't beat MJ and they ended up being right. People felt they couldn't beat lebron and they were right. It's competition. Now...did his teammates fear MJ? I'd still say no, but you'd have a better argument

@@FireAngelChris now watch this. He uses age to say Boston wasn't good even though they were in the conference finals. But Lebron right now is 37 years old and if he doesn't win they will use his 19 season as reason to knock him. Next he was trying to say Paul George was 22 but lebron was 22 when he took the Cavs to the finals they then use his lost against the spurs against him. Funny how Paul George excuse was he was 22 he wasn't a superstar yet since 2014- 2022 Paul George made the conference finals 2 times the rest are first round exits as a so called superstar. Lol. In between that time Lebron has won 3 championships on 3 different franchises lol also been to 6 finals. Last Boston once again lebron was 22 in the finals and they use the spurs series against him. @@slimjim9648 That's a silly stat. Understand context before you give out a stat. In terms of game winners, jordans % is about 50 while lebron is in the 30s. The problem with your playoff stat is that Lebron has been playing for nearly 20 years. Obviously he's gonna have more game winners in the playoffs when he's been in the playoffs more times than seasons jordan has played, not to mention jordan never went to a game 7 in the finals. lebron has played 266 to jordans 179. Your math is just flat out bad here and tbh you're point is irrelevant. Its like the all time scoring leaders. Sure lebron has surpassed jordan in terms of total points, but you have to be stupid to think he's the better scorer. Jordan ppg is higher, and that's including his 2 seasons in Washington. Without those he'd be at about 32 points per game for his career. Context matters.

He argues that fear is a better motivator than love, which is why it is the more effective tool for leaders. The extent to which this argument is valid and sound? that's a discussion for another day. Real talk. No partisanship here.. I am with SAS on this one. If we compare MJ's "style of leadership" to LBJ's, the former, not the latter, has shown us time and time again throughout his pro career that he embraced that narrative to lead his squad or mentally dominate his opponents.
