Stephen Cookson | One Liner Comedian 

This comedian had some great lines. Clearly the audience had a few too.

Comedian: I was driving down the road the other day Audience: HAHAHAHAHHAHAHIAMAVIRGINHAHAHAHAHA

So this is what happened to the old audiences from Friends and Frasier.

Every comedians dream audience.

He's very funny but that has to be the easiest audience ever.

I think they pumped laughing gas through the vents of the building!

I see the RU-vid comedians are selflessly patrolling the comments sections maintaining audience difficulty standards.

As an open mic one liner comic with around 200 gigs I can tell you that Stephen is a once in a generation genius. The material is nowhere near as important as how Stephen has crafted his persona. The delivery, pauses, expressions, timing and presence are brilliant. Crafting one line gags is very difficult but every word is relevant...like adding 'basic' to the stool gag giving it the perfect ending. For me, Stephen is up there with Stewart Francis and Gary Delaney and I wish him the success he deserves.

His delivery and demeanour are perfect.....that is why he is funny..

I love one liner comedy... It's hard work, and the audience gets their moneys worth. This guy really nailed it.

It’s not whether the audience laugh, it’s whether it’s funny. I laughed out loud. Very good.

He came out with the best first, after that it is easier to keep people laughing. I thought his first joke about spelling was very funny.

Maybe it's just my current mood, but I found this just as hilarious as the crowd did. One or two of the jokes took a bit too much from Steven Wright, but otherwise, this was great.

He is ok but I didn't like when he stole 3 jokes from Steven wright...

"I went to see my doctor and he asked me to provide a stool sample so I enrolled in a basic wood working course"

I get it, he is pretty funny... but some people in the audience sound like f'king hyenas after literally every single joke he says!

There has to be an added laugh track.

I easily assumed I wasn’t the only one who thought the entire audience was just a tad overzealous, or high as hell? Hell, we all knew something wasn’t quite right when they started laughing at the comedian for just taking the microphone out of the stand

People commenting about the audience - you do realise that this comedy club has some of the best comperes in the game hosting the gigs? This audience has just been primed by Paul Smith, Danny McCoughlin, Phil Chapman, Jojo Sutherland, Katie Tracey, Alex Boardman or one of the other of many headline standard comics that work there as regular MCs. Add a decent one liner comic like Stephen Cookson and it’s always going to go well.

Some of these one liners are genius. Great comedian. And a perfect crowd to be honest, he even tells them they're mental and they laugh. Makes even better viewing.

I usually think of myself as someone who doesn't laugh out loud. But I had my notebook on my belly while I was watching this guy and the notebook was jerking up and down. Hmm, that sounded better when I said it inside my head.

Got the subtitles wrong. The first thing he says is 'i'm a mime artist' because the audience start laughing before he's opened his mouth.
