Hey, Dark-O. Don't worry about feeling self-conscious. I think if you look back at other people's first videos, you'll see that you're already well ahead of the curve. Love it. The BEST thing you can do for any camera anxiety is to do exactly what you are doing. Make videos. Can you imagine how natural this is going to feel for you by Spring? You are already super relatable, come across very genuine, and you are helping other people who have those exact same concerns about getting started, actually see it can be done by someone just like them. I'm on your team! Anyone who wants to judge your speaking ability, I invite them to compete against me at public speaking :) We're a team over here!

I loved the goosebumps. I always had to sneak into my sisters bed at night because I was too scared to sleep alone after staying up too late reading them! Haha. I feel you on the anxiety. Putting yourself out there is hard. You feel so authentic. I’m for sure rooting for you! Welcome to booktube!

I never would have thought you had camera anxiety! You come across as very personable, fwiw. deep breathes. We don't bite that hard. :p Go momma for introducing you. I completely agree, when a narrator is the author it can really bring something special to the work. Sometimes. Then there are fiction experiences like those from Gaiman who is just such a natural storyteller. Can't wait to see your unique perspective on here!
