Top gun has changed my life completely, My fiance is joining the AirForce Navy as a Navy Airforce Pilot and I am so proud of him!! When he shown me this movie, I loved it. Me and him both have changed life for the better since this movie!!! THANK YOU MAVERICK!!!!!!!!!!!!
But remind him, that if he screws up just this much, - he'll "Be flying a cargo plane full of Rubber Dogshit outa Hong Kong!"(🤭) Good Luck to Him and Yourself. TG's a great movie, ... it just 'hits ya in the heart', - it's pure Magic!)~😎
I wonder if even he knew at the time just how big it would become. Who writes a song and can expect to play it 35 years later being the most recognizable movie theme in history?
Steve Stevens lucked into it. Harold Faltermeyer wrote the music and Steve was just the lucky guy who invited to play it. But yes neither one of them ever though it would go massive and so recognisable of an era we all wish would return.
@@Zone5Aviation Okay maybe getting invited to play the guitar involved some luck, but being of the caliber to be considered for it was key to be ever involved in such an outstanding colaboration.
this is really cool. You know when he plays the Zeppelin tunes there is no doubt he grew up playing that stuff. He is a criminally underrated guitarist overall.
Awesome! Steve Stevens looks almost just like in the video 31 years ago! Cool 😎 He still rocks, and his great Top Gun Anthem with Harold Faltermeyer is still so beautiful. 😍 One of tha best instrumental Rock songs ever!!! ✌🏼 Greetz
@@Sig721Tau You think he JUST started smoking cigarettes? Not that I condone or smoke myself, but dude is like 62 and is still jamming on stage, life long smoker and partaker of who knows what else if you were Billy Idols guitarist! lol \m/ \m/
Musical artists play it how they feel it - the music flows from their thoughts to their fingertips. It’s so fascinating to see the abstract become tangible music. Steve radiates music - thanks for your gift of music.
Words can't describe how much I love this guy!! Steve Steven's is FINALLY getting SOME of the appreciating he deserves. I just don't get it, Steve Stevens has been putting down some of the greatest guitar riffs for decades and he didn't get nearly the appreciation he deserved. I'm so happy to seep people, young and old giving him the honor and attention he should have gotten so many years ago. Thank you Steve for your incredible contribution to music history and your fascinating guitar playing!!
How cool would it be if Steve's Top Gun Anthem is in the new Top Gun movie when it comes out. Even just a cameo sound of it would be awesome, and a nod to Steve, and to the first iconic movie ❤️️
Beautifully Done, Love the Special way he plays that little special riffs. So clean, What Amazing Incredible Feeling you get from catching the Spirit you feel and warm Of Beautiful This Played. So Fine, Great Suggestion.so Nice, Good way to start your Day.🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
SS hsa been one of my favorite guitarists since the early 80's. He has done what many rock musicians can never say they did. Win an Acade,y Award. I bought an autographed green ray gun off his website for my best friend for his birthday. He was floored.
The top gun anthem just hits different. It has words that inspire with the instrumental. Whenever I hear this song something changes I feel good the song itself is soooo good, who needs words ya know?
Steve Stevens has the distinct honor of playing in a rock band (Billy Idol) and playing on a Michael Jackson song. (Dirty Diana) The other guitarist is Edward Van Halen. (Van Halen) and the Michael Jackson song, Beat it.
If you don’t know… he recorded the top gun song he is playing here, as well as recorded Danger Zone. ( I believe…)I always thought Danger Zone was a Kenny Loggins song. It’s not. He was called in to sing it after contract obligations kept the band Starship from being able to do it. Cool facts if you didn’t know 😎🤘
Steve doesn't often get the credit he deserves, one of the greatest guitar players pretty comparable to jimi hendrix, my opinion. And why they didn't they put his guitar solo for the top gun anthem in the new top gun maverick? He did get a Grammy for the first top gun.
