Absolutely beautiful version of this Dylan song. Full of soul. I could listen to Stevie and David Ruffin and Sam Cooke forever and not get bored. Three of the greatest,
This was the other Stevie Wonder track played at our murdered sons funeral 8th April 2018 we are so lost without you Rip Brian Burke and thank you Mr Stevie Wonder for your wonderful musicxx
I never heard this version of the Bob Dylan song, most familiar with versions by Peter, Paul and Mary (one of their biggest songs) and John Denver. (The entire 1966 album is great--Love his style.) A pop artist needs to make song famous again in these crazy times.
Just thinking about that. Most problems today are caused by worshiping money and material goods. Capitalism causes this and even affects personal relationships, treating people as objects. People are looking for the best deal and the best return on investment in relationships and marriage. Capitalism, greed and racial hate must be eliminated to make any progress
I've been looking for this version. Thanks for posting it! My husband passed away a couple of days ago. He knows I'm not a big Stevie Wonder fan at all........except for this song and version. I heard it on the radio this morning, and the waterworks started all over again. I'm so glad I found this.
This and Sam Cooke's version are the best remakes of this Bob Dylan classic. Love when Clarence Paul sings "Too many years have gone by already, now Stevie"
MzJanuary agreed. Sam Cooke's version is great too. just when I think I like one guy's version a little more, I hear the other one and I'm not so sure anymore.
I'm 50, sitting here talking to my 75 year old dad. He's giving me advice and tried to remember the words to this song to help me under life...I'm thankful to hear this. The road ahead is shorter than the rd behind🙏🏼
The complete catalog of Stevie Wonder is so special, and I reflect the sentiments of the person who said that Stevie’s early works are by far his best work. They were so meaningful, so rich, so melodic, so soulful, then he matured in the 70’s to write some of the most romantic music ever. Stevie Wonder will always be my absolute favorite singer song writer/ musician. And I loved this song as a teenager and I played it a thousand times.
I came here on September 2019 because this song was played on Harry Harrison’s last day at “ the good guys WMCA “ show. Remember Harry ? I don’t think any of us old timers will ever forget. Stay well Harry wherever you may be, this side or the other, miss you so much there are no words.
I love this song, I remember Avery Leslie singing this song and it ministers to me. I think about the Holy Spirit when I hear this song when he says Blowing in the Wind. LOVE IT.
everybody sang a version of this, which i believe is the most important song of the 60s and beyond. the shout back by levi stubbs is also terrific. Be Blessed

Stevie didn't have an easy time going against the bunker mentality at Motown, but would prove not only with Dylan but Lennon-McCartney material too, that in the right, visionary hands he could assuredly mold a hit single with non-Jobete material too.
How many roads must a man walk down Before you call him a man How many seas must a white dove sail Before she sleeps in the sand Yes, 'n' how many times must the cannon balls fly Before they're forever banned The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind The answer is blowin' in the wind Yes, 'n' how many years can a mountain exist Before it's washed to the sea Yes, 'n' how many years can some people exist Before they're allowed to be free Yes, 'n' how many times can a man turn his head And pretend that he just doesn't see The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind The answer is blowin' in the wind Yes, 'n' how many times must a man look up Before he can see the sky Yes, 'n' how many ears must one man have Before he can hear people cry Yes, 'n' how many deaths will it take till he knows That too many people have died The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind The answer is blowin' in the wind
