Delighted for McSweyn, he had done all the hard work so I'm glad that he held on. Jake Wightman is some athlete, nothing wrong with a 3.52 mile.

Plus, what were the results for the other runners in the race? What about the other 17 year old. What time did he run? Etc. You get my drift re time results. Cheers.

McSweyn has a unique running style. He barely flexes at the hip. All his action is in the lower legs, which gives him a very high stride rate. Wightman has a more classic style, but he looks like he's lumbering by comparison with McSweyn.

Interesting Race over the historic and classic mile ( 1,760 Yards ) but a little disappointing that Two ( 2 ) pacemakers were apparently required, Masato Yokota to the 880 Yard mark and Connor Whitely to the 1,000 yard mark but pleased for Stewart McSweyn who seems to be getting back to his more usual self after enduring serious health problems, although I did feel that Stewart did seem to lose stride just before the tape, sort of locked up momentarily it seemed to me. Jake Wightman will, of course, only get better as he has been off the scene for so long with injury. The commentary not my cup of tea though, comments across the commentator from a 2nd Party are just not on in book. The Commentator alone must be entirely focussed on The Race and he must stir the crowd up, like the Commentators for Horse Races or even Greyhound Races do.
