A customer brought in a Stihl BR600 back pack blower with a complaint of "ignition switch coil broke". Yes we could have quizzed them further but that takes all the fun out of it! #smallenginerepair
I had no idea the spring in the boot was not permanently attached to the wire coming from the coil. When I saw mine, I thought it was broken. Thank you!!! You rock, saved me time & money $$
I Can’t Tell You How Many Times Those Boots Pull Off When Changing The Plug Out The Spring End of The Lead Always Seems Too Stick to The Plug Got Too Be Very Careful Removing Them I’ve Also Seen Blown Seals Under The Recoil Side Great Job On The Repair 😊😀😎👍🏼
Question about Husqvarna 36 chainsaw: friend gave to me. Continually running too fast. Not full, but enough chain turns quickly. Only thing found so far is no muffler gasket. I think that would allow unmetered air into crankcase. Am I correct? Thanks
You're right about the unmetered air in the crankcase but I think you're looking in the wrong place. Get a can of carb cleaner and while the saw is running spray near crank seals, cylinder base gasket, intake and impulse areas.
@@TheGreasyShopRag thanks tried that. Only place was behind the muffler. I’m going to a air leak test and vacuum test. While running did the side/side test with no results. Thanks again.
