Well Ping has a history of great drivers. I finally replaced my G10 back in April. Loved the G10 but it was worn out. Replaced it with a TSi1. Hope it lasts as long.
Game the G410. No need to change. Actually G410 Driver, 5w, 7w and hybrids. Last driver was a custom R9 Supertri that lasted 10 years. No rush to change.
Had the G410 broke the screw in the movable weight and had to send back to Ping. They sent me back the G425. I hated the sound of the G425 and didn't keep it. Loved the G410
G410 LST here. Nothing is better for me. I actually added a 9g weight at the toe and a second 5g weight at the heel for a balanced and steady head while slightly correcting my small snap hook issue too! Cheat stick!
Any savvy golfer knows that the tech in clubs, especially woods and drivers, don’t change much, if at all, over a few years. So a 4 year old driver is as good as a current driver, and you save a boatload of money to boot. Just. make sure you’re properly fitted for it. Good review and reminder, Lee. Cheers.
Mate , great vlog !! A story for all , gave my clubs to my son , spent shitloads on new clubs over 10 years , son got new clubs and gave me back my old clubs !! Handicap dropped to 1.6 with taylormade r9 clubs through the bag , 14 years old !! Go figure 😂😂😂
I had the G410 from when it was released, swopped to the new G430 driver earlier this year, there is not much difference in distance however the difference in forgiveness on off centre strikes is very noticeable. Definitely more fairways hit since the change. Same shaft as well, Ping Tour 65.
I am noticing the same. Same shaft as u as well. G410 plus heel or toe strikes are further offline than the G430. I have been testing both heads recently
I have a Ping G20 driver that I keep going back to again and again. For me it is all about finding a shaft that works with the particular head and my swing. I've spent far too much $ in last five years buying into the increased MOI, increased distanced marketing. Honestly, I can hit my G20 as far as the new Pings, etc. And Bonus, I can get it to flight down, fly high, go right or minor left pull by simply changing my grip. When I have tried same with the latest drivers it does not go well. I think they may have gone too far with the engineered "help".
Lee ....fitting properly can make a huge difference to anyones game ...issue is you rock up at ping for a fit all youll get is the new ping same as all oems ...shame they cant offer you older drivers to try ...bet then they aint making money 🤷🤷 id never buy a driver off the shelf again 👍👍👍👍
I am using a 6 year old titliest and had fittings for a new driver this year there was no difference in distance just a slight better dispersion in off centre hits. Having difficulty justifying the £500+ cost
This might cause a row, but I have a 2016-2017 driver ( callaway Big Beratha fusion) I paid £50 for it. in one bag and a SIM2 in another bag £350 at the time of purchase as a gift. The fusion goes further ( average is 265-275 yards ) straighter, and away easier to control. SIM2 is 265 yards tops and can go right or left too quick. I am now on shaft number 4 to trying reign in the SIM2 magic ( if it even exists). Both the Fusion and the SIM2 had the exact same shafts. I have just bought a Epic speed for £80 if it works out bye bye SIM2 ! Overrated , so far..
