The ICW has many beautiful faces and moods that can be a bit surly - though you might assume the ICW is a narrow channel cutting through condos . . . Not so. Wind and weather are anything but predictable on the meandering and beautifully wide waterway - which opens up into expanses of impressive lakes, rivers and sounds. Solo sailing a Catalina 42 from Lake Michigan to the Caribbean and having a wonderful adventure along the way.

Skipping a dodger and the additional canvas - in storage - for . . . Better visibility . . . And a bit more inviting for the camera. My approach is an experiment that seems likely to work while heading south - heading north, at some point, may make me sniffle, sneeze and whine a bit . . . We'll see. Thanks for your encouragement- those 47 degree mornings are made warmer when folks like you take an interest.

Could have been! I'm south of Myrtle Now. Georgetown tomorrow. I'm glad the sailboats made you smile. Rainy, rainy weather was a bummer for a couple days but sunshine today was fantastic. Thanks for watching and helping me to share some great memories - and I appreciate you sharing yours, as well

I loved the Chesapeake, lingered there and was in no hurry to leave, that's for sure. You live in a great place - and you might be surprised by how similar it is to sailing Lake Michigan, if you ever get there. Thank you for your kind sentiments - and don't feel you are a late joining member of the Crew. All are welcome and the best is yet to come . . . Future plans are unclear . . . I may be back, since I didn't make it to Harris Crab House this time. We'll see. I do love those blue crab of yours . . . Mmm-mmm-mmmm!
