What I did is I rerolled for the 5 star blade, went on the beginner banner. After that, I spent my lustrous tide on the weapon banner and got my 2nd blade for Sanhua. Now I'm saving to get Calcharo on my guaranteed banner
I already got 2 weapons, the sword and broadsword. I'm not sure if I'll get the rectifier for my encore. I don't have anyone who can use the gauntlets in the meantime and I'm gonna get the pistol on the selector so I think I'm done on the standard weapons
What if I been pulling on the weapon banner right from the begining ? :3 Got a T2 Emerold of Genesis for Rover. Guess thats why I have delayed my beginner banner, its 40/50 atm. I picked Verina and been using her,making do with Rover and Yangyang/Sunhau. But now I have to build a second team for that adversity mode >< Im hoping to get Encore on the beginner and hoping NOT to get Lingyang (as much as I liked his story episode, I really didnt like his combat style/mechancis)
A minor remark. Verina and Baizhi best weapons are in fact 4 stars. the one that gives concerto energy and the other just more energy. Yunwu I think also cos there is a gauntlet that gives 45% def at level 60 + makes him a better shlelder.
Excellent advice that I already followed before the video even came up 😄 Most character Chains don't give valuable enough bonuses for the (up to) 80 pulls they need. Plus, you'll get random characters on the standard banner, that's only a 20% chance to get the one dupe you want. Hell if I get a random 5-star character, might as well be on a 50/50 loss... which will happen anyway, no matter what 🤷♂ Meanwhile, you get to choose the 5-star weapon you want, that's huge! As a Rover main, I'll definitely pick the sword as soon as it drops. Both CRIT Rate and Energy Regen? Hell yeah! And since I only had 3-star broadblades, choosing the excellent Battle Pass broadblade for Calcharo (or any future broadblade DMG dealer) was a no-brainer 👌
Got jianxi first, on my first or second multi, then pulled on the event banner, first multi, ended up getting the best healer. Then i changed my begginner banner character to calcharo or wtv, then got jyan and him, ended up accidently missclicking on the select and ended up with a dupe of jainzdin, when i was just trying to figure out how to choose, as i was orinigally only going to get a verina dup or a copy of encore.
in the 50/50 banner I got the calcharo in the 80 selectable I got verina in the first 10 shots and I went for the weapon and with 40 I got 2 weapons already
Wep was the first thing I pulled because the early free characters weren't bad plus free calcharo. I also come from PGR and am already familiar with pulling on weapons like that.
I pulled the last 5star yesterday and immediately started pulling on the weapon banner for that exact same reason. I need weapons, and I don't really want Jiyan's signature weapon, so I don't want to risk it, but I'm tempted. However, all in for Yinlin, this Saturday can't come faster, can it?
I’m still haven’t pulled on the selector banner and used my 5* selector yet. I’m still building my current cast of characters and don’t want to add more characters to build yet. Been using my standard pulls I’ve been getting on the standard weapon banner since I’m lacking 4* weapons on most of the type types except for broad sword and gun. Just recently pulled the Emerald of Genesis for my Rover since I’m currently using her as my main.
I went with calcharo on my selector banner and miss clicked on the selector and ended up with a dupe of a character I already had, when I wanted a dupe of verina/calcharo/ or an encore.
She actualy has some decent use now, the only problem is that she probably hardly ever be an on field main dps, she could at best be an on field sub dps on heavy rotation team based. And to do so problem is that you need C2 i think, that C1 and C2 gives her a lots of damage scaling based on her hp and so making it somehow playable as a dps. But she got some actual decent use as a burgeon driver, and can be quite nice on some team with vape. But surely hoyo disapointed with her, and clorinde even tho not on the same scale, seems to have done the same mistake...
I got Arlecchino and yes she's doing Dehya ult damage just na farming after skill 😅 but still love Dehya more any day of the week. Hope I eventually by the end of shneznia I can get Dehya c6 (would be an actual miracle), can't help what you love.
I agree 100%. As soon as you get your fav standard chars it loses all value. you will lose 50/50 and get more/ The units there may be powercrept but the 5 star weapons can be a good boost in the start.
Don't forget the free 5* weapon box at lvl45 ! For ppl that cant/don't want pull on limited weapon banner its huge. The Crit rate/DMG is King and universal, so Sword & Gun are good if we are no choice with 5* weapons. Calcharo are nothing in 4* that are great value (aside of BP weap) so the 5* even if the sub is ATK is good and the passive effect really synergies with him and his needs.
@@joe-yf9wc if you mean weapons then maybe yes but I got crit on Yinlinz weapon. And there's crit from echoes too. Maybe it's just the luck of random stats on weapons
Bruh. My Danjin is the only character I have with a 5 star weapon. And Jianxin equipped with the Bell echo is perfect for my team. 50% Def reduction shield from echo + Jianxin shield + a little healing is a relief from Danjin getting one shot. Lol. Yes, I used Jianxin as a tank and crowd control, shielder and healer and she does decent damage too. An all rounder, for sure.
no, the dev knew this. they forced us to buy BP if you want crit rate weapon. only 2 five star weapon are crit rate and the BP version is not crit. (and vice versa to other type) i am tempted to buy BP but 4 star weapon from pull can be a good choice too.
For the 1st time EVER, I have a so called "meta" team. The gache gods basically handed it to me. Pulled Jiyan and Mortefi within the 1st 20 pulls (the free ones). Couldn't decide between Jianxin or Varina for the selector banner and the Gacha gods said "why struggle with a tough choice? Here's a free 5*, now you can have both"🤩🥳😁. So the crazier part is yesterday I used my astrite for a 10 pull and the 10 free pulls to try and snipe a Mort. dupe and build a little pity but pulled a Jiyan dupe instead.😲. I call it "MTash luck". I almost crapped my pants. Good thing my crap/fart separator was working properly.🤣
2:17 - 3:08 is the singular spec of the video that has to do with the title and also that isn't bloat in the video. The TL;DW summary shall be: Do not roll the standard CHARACTER banner, EVER!!! As soon as the beginner banners vanish , start thinking on what weapon will your main units use and pick accordingly from standard WEAPON banner, as it also uses lustrious tides (the standard pull tokens). Connors, if you are reading this, your clickbait and recording bloat are strong incentives for me to disrespect you. Trying to avoid those is an option.

Consider the following: The timestamp I presented above is 51 seconds, being within the 60 second threshold to make a youtube short of it. And the thing is, you made videos that were properly informative and constructed well enough in the past, such as your latest comprehensive guide on PGR. So yeah... Remember that people will appreciate it if you got to the point immediately. Or don't... idk, constructive feedback is overrated anyway.
I don’t normally engage in comments like this but today I’ll bite. I can understand where you are coming from, but you do have a subjective issue with how I choose to conduct my content based on your claim above about not being prompt enough in the delivery of certain information. The comment “[Timestamp] is the singular spec of the video that has to do with the title and also that isn't bloat in the video.” If I choose to make something a video instead of being a short and want to add more context to my experience with the game that is my decision to make. If you don't like that, that's fine. But it is not Click bait when the subject matter of the thumbnail is addressed in the video, which it was. But on the subject of constructive feed back, the comment "your clickbait and recording bloat are strong incentives for me to disrespect you." That, to me, reads as a threat to change my content or be disrespected by you. That is not interpreted as constructive feedback IMO, which frankly is all that matter considering you specifically address that part of you comment to me. To which my response stays the same, if you do not like my approach to the content in sharing my experience, while still fulfilling the promise of the thumbnail and title, then you do not need to watch. I would suggest in the future if you would like to provide constructive feedback you chose your words differently. Here's my actual subjective take (Reading this is optional.) : Your face plastered all over your thumbnails across your video catalogue makes them suffer from monotony. The only reason I can see making sense for such an approach is the goal of building a brand with which your likeness is meant to be associated. Now for the proper critique: -Take it from me* the section with you gushing over Jianxin and waifu over meta is straight up bloat, without question or debate. It's better off being cut and maybe slotted in a collection meant for the lighthearted clips, as it is irrelevant to how the viewer will spend the tides. -Comparing the standard character banner to the standard weapon banner is something that, for the most part, you did correctly and I have no complaints about**. -The extra time spent on the weapons talk is the reason why you should have chosen a different title for the video. For example: "Why the standard WEAPONS banner will be the better investment of your Lustrous Tides." Or "The standard weapons banner is worth your rolls. Here's why." This way you will properly imply that the viewer can expect that you will highlight important details about the weapons from said banner. Pointing to similarities between those and the ones from the premium battle pass was also a smooth move on your part. *Inspector's first note: You emjoy Jianxin. That makes you based. Me saying that should underline that as much as I'd love to hear someone affirm my bias toward a character I enjoy, I'd still prefer if the content quality didn't suffer. **Inspector's second note: The focus of the title would not need to shift, if instead of on the weapons, you talked more about premium banners and ways to plan your pull sessions and grind between cycles. If you take away anything from here let it be this: The entire point of this exercise is for the sake of accuracy and consistency between content, title and ideally also the thumbnail The thumbnail is fine in hindsight, but is still easily be mistaken for the figurative eye cancer that has mostly red arrows, circles and other symbols plastered around incessantly for no reason. With that i would like to also say I learned something from these exchanges with you: I would love to see people , gradually stop defaulting to assumptions about subjectivity of another's comment, when there are both observable exhibits and practicality to the points made about those.
