Mike Graham says doctors should stay in the UK 10 years after graduating medical school instead of "fleeing the country."
British doctors and nurses are moving to Australia for better working conditions after blasting the UK for failing to improve the NHS while forcing their colleagues into strike over pay.
Mike Graham says: “I don't know what they get taught in doctors school, but they need to be taught more loyalty and to love their country more!"

Why would they stay to be in tenancy all their lives? People work for security not to pay off investor mortgages on homes they'll never be able to afford.

It costs five hundred thousand pounds to train a Doctor in the NHS - when a Doctor takes himself to another country that country pays nothing for training so gets an excellent deal- so Britain is training Doctors for other counties - unsustainable😢

@@kingeatking The doctor pays 20% of the cost of his “education”. The taxpayer pays the other 80%. I know education has been dumbed down in recent decades but I was taught at school that 80% is more than 20%.

You can't blame them for wanting to move to the Australian or American NHS ! Oh dear,.I got that wrong -- the "better working conditions" are provided by the Private Sector - who'd have thought it !! ....the same Private Sector that has far better outcomes than the wunnerful NHS !

All you need to look at is the rail, post office and any other privatised industry in the UK.

Most Uk doctors are going to other public healthcare systems around the world. Australia has a public healthcare system

Newly qualified GP’s immediately moving abroad; they should have to give return of service as the Services require people to do.

Back in the 90s when i worked in nhs finance anyone who trained on the job had to work for 5 years after they qualified or pay for their training. Double given the cost should be for drs They also do not have to pay it back if they leave as my mate who lived in kuwait explained it
@thebittersweetmyke1
@thebittersweetmyke1 Год назад
Back in the 90s drs didn’t leave medical school with £100k of debt. I think if you want to make medical school free then yes maybe a minimum service in the nhs would be an option. But otherwise drs owe the country nothing
