As an East Texan, these stories are amazing! After Harper's Hope, I was hoping there would be more!

=Spoilers= Its so refreshing that Jonas didn't die or sacrifice himself! That seems like the stereotypical way these sort of stories go. I love a story that maintains a scary atmosphere without killing every character!

Your voice is truly like listening to someone tell a scary story by a bonfire outside, by a fireplace with a group of friends and loved ones. I love your narrations, and your reading is so natural, like you were really there! Keep up the great work!

Another good ranch story. But if they’re gonna call the cops and tell them about the abandoned truck, the cops are gonna go inside and find that body. They’ll also find the spent brass casings with the kids finger prints all over them, and suspect that both of them were part of it. Or at least that they were down there, and knew more than what they’d told the cops. Good story, brother.✝️👍🏻 We’re you planning on making a sequel to that secret military facility story? I’d like to find out what was down there.

This was unbelievably good. The pacing, the slow build-up of dread... and how well written and performed it was

Lansdale with his book, The Thicket and Cormac McCarthy with Blood Meridian!! 🙌🙌🙌 - There’s also a Splatter Western series of standalone books, published by Death's Head Press, that I really really enjoy. Another fabulous tale in the Stories from East Texas series. Beautifully written, the story draws you in at once. Great characters, terrific plot, exciting and chilling! The author is very talented. In his short stories he packs more story, better characters and more thrills than most other authors can do in an entire novel. There are three other stories featuring cowboy Jonas on the reddit site and can also be listened to on RU-vid. I only wish there were more tales from this series. The narration is perfect, the narrator's voice wonderfully enhances and brings the story to life. You have to admire the two cowboys, but most especially Jonas. He knows they are dealing with a supernatural monster, but goes into the house anyway, in the hopes of saving the life of the clueless video ghost chaser. A brave, and basically good man. Hoping for more of this series.

East TEXAS definitely has stories to tell, all the way from the Red, down the Sulphur thru Caddo to the Big Thicket, glad to hear that we are getting some of them out. I remember when people said that we didn't have cougars, now they are a common topic. The Sulphur holds many secrets, corps of engineers keeps tight lipped until you buy one a drink or two. Game Wardens are the same, best to find one in the county who has retired, and then, hold on to your shorts. Bravo Zulu on this series!

I have been a subscriber for only a short time now, but I gotta tell you that your style of narration and these stories (from the Double K Ranch) that you write are just the best. They are right up my alley. 👍🏼🥓🥓🥓

Awesome Awesome Continuation of this story. I love the 1st two I listened to by Viidth22 and again(1st one) by LightHouse just before coming here(my two Fav readers and voices). I was pleasantly surprised by your voice and it matched with the story so well with your southern voice. I Love these kind of Stories, it might be my age I'm not sure as I'm almost 60. I find some stories have a much younger feel to them and I can't get in to them as much as others, I'm an old Dean Koontz fan from the early 80's, read all his stuff since, and of course other Authors, so months and months ago when I came to some reading channels I was so happy as my eyes are not as good anymore, as I use to read for hours but can't anymore. *Plzz don't stop writing about these fella's and don't kill Jonas off yet like you did Tommy... lol.. Your Fan!

Ooh, it's like Elizabeth Bathory (if she was truly guilty) being subjected to the punishment in the movie, Gehenna: Where Death Lives, only done well. I mean that as a compliment. Think I got dirt in my brain during work today. It's clogging up the gears that let me be coherent. What is it that compells people to go to the site of horrific and disturbing occurrences and try to "speak" with something? Most of the time,it seems like they complain about wanting to see something, but then run screaming the moment anything actually happens. I love horror movies, but I have no desire to experience one beyond the weird crap I already have.
