How is that proof of anything? Don't say thing just because. Some mods are more valuable than the game they're modding. Modders 100% should get benefits from that. And don't even mention donations and patreons. That's what everyone loves to mention, go ask modders how much donations they got trhought the years.
People act like there aren't things preventing those same theft issues from happening with actual games. The thing just needs to be implemented right. That's what the Steam thing proved.
I didn't know adding features to ''abandoned'' games was part of the industry... but you do you buddie. Keep acting like you're on the moral high ground.
when u watch an ad on twitch, it says "this ad supports the streamer". You could just put on the buy link "buying through this link supports the streamer"
Lawrences face is like James body, looks better the longer you look at it... also Lawrences chin would be equal to James chest because it always impresses me by how chiseled it is.
I really like Omar having some input here. He kind of cut through some of the misinformation that was arising, or at least helped clarify certain situations. Also Elyse's knowledge bomb about being an educated buyer is some much needed info for many.
Being a criminal justice major I can let you guys know that the last segment is actually really common. It's really jaw dropping to see conversations between people like that.
To feed the "I bought it because of you" thing going on, I ended up buying Astroneer and then buying a few other copies for friends because I saw you guys play it. I honestly dont regret it.
I think this is a great thing. Boosts sales, get more players, finally acknowledge the power of streamers. Its not the streamers fault if viewers are going to buy a game just because they see someone else having fun with it. Ppl loved octodad and i watched it for a while but i knew it was a shit game and i would never play it myself. You can clearly see on the rest of the screen (apart from the facecam) what the game is like and make the call there, not because the facecam is lauging or promoting the game
Elyse came with the heat and said exactly what I was thinking, about people who'd complain about getting tricked into thinking a game is better than it is by streamers
James & Elyse are possibly the funniest and cutest youtube couple at Funahus/Rooster Teeth. Have you guys considered fighting all of the other Funhaus/Rooster Teeth couples for ultimate couple dominance?
i know you guys were joking about not being part of the gaming royalty, but I'll be honest that's one of the reasons i love your content, you guys are like me you play games coss you love them not because a company sent you them, i never feel like you guys are like hahaha look what we have and you don't where i do feel like that at other channels.
To me this is a really good thing, Like if i am going to buy a Game and i like a certain streamer i could just buy games through him/her and help them out. It kind of reminds me of a Amazon Affiliate link, whenever i need something on Amazon i use the Link of a Streamer or RU-vidr i like. it has the Potential for corruption but it also could improve a streamers Standard of Living especially if they are a Just partnered streamer that doesn't make enough yet to live off of.
To James and everyone at Funhaus I just want to say watching your videos is most definitely the thing I look forward to the most after a day of class and work!! Thank you keep up the good shit!
you guys need to check out the new ark pokemon go mod, it makes the game 10x better & funnier. they did really great work on that mod, bruce you can ride a fucking charizard!!!
THIRD time this WEEK that you guys only upload a SINGLE episode in that day. I've grown accustomed to my free entertainment to be twice a day.. SO GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER. Except for you Elyse.. You're perfect
SirDan Get it all together. And put it in a backpack. All your shit.So it's together. And if you gotta take it somewhere, take it somewhere, you know, take it to the shit store and sell it, or put it in a shit museum, I don't care what you do, you just gotta get it together. GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER.
27:54 i'm with you Adam. i looked over and WTF are you doing Bruce. then he said preach and i got it, however you cut it close Bruce.....reeeeeeaaaal close with that one
I just did some guessing on the amount of time I have spent watching Funhaus. I have seen one hundred and eleven of these, that is 111 hours on just dude soup wtf. Not to mention the time you guys were at IG. I love you guys
I haven't played a wrestling game in ages but you guys' videos of WWE 2k17 convinced me to snag it when I saw it on sale and my cousin and I have a blast fucking around on it. I can't be the only one you influencers have influenced.
I liked what Bruce said about how your basically working for Gamestop from your house. Its interesting to think that partnered streamers are basically being employed by twitch as salesmen for their store weather they like it or not, since they cannot opt out of the "buy button" even if they don't get the money. Seems pretty shitty for Twitch to force this on their streamers, although I guess they do provide a free streaming service anyway so....
Haven't finished the video (wont remember to comment by the end). I bought EDF recently and a few other steam games cause you guys make it look fun and interesting.
Everyone talks about how beautiful Elyse is but why doesn't Adam get any love? No matter what he does he always looks like a lost puppy and it's the cutest thing in the world.
Man, I really, really hope one day Gus makes a Lawrence-ish segue. Thing's so fucking smooth, the mood of the ad read doesn't shout the word "sellout", it's just awesome the whole way through.
I'm fine if Developers pay the mod makers, it's promoting their game, they should pay for it. the problem was steam/Bethesda wanted US to pay the mod makers and took a chunk, and no QA, that was BS
Is undercover law really a new show?! That sounds brilliant. Lawrence undergoing an alias and intercepting a suicide nude group but like, keep accidentally messing it up the group get mad at him. Please make itttttt
I'm glad to see Lawrence reading the Blue Apron recipes again. Every time James has been reading them during open haus I've been getting a bit sad; and I've started wondering why James would take away one of Lawrence's passions in life, since Lawrence brings up how much he likes reading names of foods every single time they're sponsored by Blue Apron on dude soup. Anyway, glad to see you making all of us hungry with food names again, Lawrence. I'm happy for ya, buddy.
What's the problem with pre-ordering games? I understand the problem with giving into hype and being skeptical of things you intend to buy, but if a game is coming out that I know I'm going to end up buying regardless of what other people think of it, I may as well buy it early to get free stuff, and I won't have to deal with paying it all at once, I can just pay it chunks at a time. If there's a game I'm on the fence about I won't go anywhere near it until it is out and I have heard the general consensus about it, but if I know I want it, I reserve a copy.
I like the name Amber Heard as a pirate name pretty funny. I don't know why but the name that came to my mind was The Red Baron. Also just a little Fyi Funhaus gets a Super Thumbs Up from Dis Guy.
James and Bruce stating that they don't get revenue stream from their RU-vid streams cause they are trying to "cast the widest net" reminds me of independent music artists allowing their music to be downloaded for free. For example: All of Run The Jewels is available for free from their website. runthejewels.com/music/ Side note: I am not sponsored by Run The Jewels
It's definitely a good idea to get some different perspectives, there are multiple people I follow who didn't like Human Resource Machine, I almost didn't buy it, I had a look on Steam reviews - it seemed to divide people, quite a few people were overly critical. Anyway I bought it and enjoyed it.
James, if you watch it and it does give you related videos to watch the just hover over the link and click the three vertical dots and click "Not Interested." Then tell them why, and there should be an option to not give you any more suggestions based on the video they used to suggest that video to you. Or just continue to ignore it, it might go away eventually.
Of course you guys influence us viewers. I bought astroneer for my wife and i because i saw you lot playing. You should get a cut cause i wouldn't have bought without your videos. fun game, great job everyone keep it up.
Man I get so mad when I leave a comment and it doesn't make the the CUT AND GO ON THE COMMENT VIDEO I WANT TO MAKE IT FINALLY!!!! side note Twitch selling games is good for the video game market and streaming content provider because both parties get a cut and which for fan looking in you want to support the channel at the same time buying the game almost killing two birds with one stone you might see you too have fun with that RU-vid live stream. I don't think there's any way you can stop corruption and it's going to happen no matter what I just think gotta put it out then build on it and make the adjustments in the future with updates like video game patches you can see the holes and cracks and you can fill them pause.
Hmmm, I can only imagine why people would not want to pay money for something that has been free for so long. It could be because mods don't always work correctly and/or don't work together so paying for two mods may mean you can only play one at a time. Now, If a company decided to screen mods to see which are horse armor and which is a large, elaborate quest, then dropping a few bucks on a mod of that scale would be totally fine in my book because that's like mini dlc. Sarcasm aside, I hope Ark's idea works out (as long as they don't treat it like Valve and try and create an automated system for it).
