Yes, you can spend more time stretching and increases flexibility because your muscles relax

Essentially you're asking about the effect of highly repetitive limited range (I assume) movement on the body parts involved. I imagine if you do it while breathing deeply and while keeping the body as relaxed as possible, it could be okay, but I would definitely work on stretching those arm and shoulder muscles separately if you do that daily.
