I DEF LOST IT THE FACT THE HE SAID THE TEACHER ASKING IF RILEY WOULD LIKE TO INTRODUCE HERSELF AND SAYING THAT RILEY’S PARENTS SAYING HAVE A GOOD DAY IS A STRICT PARENTING
@@damionsmith1672they don't even shout at her or beat her she literally is rude but not all the time. And if you don't belive me here's proof of telling her parents to shut up 1:05 2:44 4:12
this has to be satire 😭😭 1: vegetables are good for you when your growing up and your mental health and parents need their kids to eat it leading to him saying she wont get dessert in a attempt to get her to eat 2: yeah- she yelled shut up at her parents so they sent her to her room not only to let her calm down but understand that is not something you do to the people you love 3: you cant just leave in the middle of a game you have to finish it and how would that teach kids to finish stuff even though it was hard but needed if she just let her leave mid game every time she was tired of it 4: this is in every school in every grade- 5: what was he supossed to say? "i hope you have a horrible day and get run over with a car! ^^" like tf?! and it isnt a rule 6: yeah suddenly rapist murders and scary people including crazy drug addicts dont exist and a little kid out at 12 am isnt gonna be a problem you know her being 11 and all and not being able to defend herself very well 7: tf? they arnt makeing her stand there to see them kiss 8: yeah cause every parent wants to have a lot of kids and if they cant handle the one very well throw another one on there despite are the trauma the little kid will have from them ruining their parents are in debt cause then she wont be lonely 9: yeah lets baby them until we die and no one will baby her and she has to figure life out alone sounds like a great idea
@@collettethecutekitten5305 true its just how my family raised me but it can be seen as disrespectful epically towards parents or people you need to look up to i can see getting away with saying it to your siblings though
This video is hilarious. None of the behaviors that Riley’s parents ever display in the film are anywhere near strict or abusive. Any parents who whined about this film being “intense” or about Riley’s parents being “overly strict” either have an IQ below room temperature or are completely spineless and probably should not be raising children. (Also it’s humorous and quite sad that some parents are literally complaining about having to EXPLAIN CONCEPTS to their children.)
@@SummerMadrid-qy9me Thats what I was thinking too. If I had said that to mine in the tone Riley used i’d be halfway across the room before I’d get the words out of my mouth. If anything I’d say Riley got off easy on that one. However she’s lucky, even as a fictional character, that she has such reasonable and loving parents. MOST parents wouldn’t have that much composure if their kid said that to them if you know what I mean.
Please tell me you are joking... I had rules like this growing up, ( I am 18 now) and I am very grateful for those rules. You must learn from a young age that sometimes you must do things that make you uncomfortable, sometimes you just have to do things you don't want to do. Also, Think about this if you get away with lashing out at your parents telling them to "shut up", you are going to be in for a real treat when you do the same out in the real world to your boss at your job and get fired. Please tell me this isn't just me that feels this way?
You call this strict rules? No wonder why Kids are so disrespectful they need discipline for bad behavior. The Dad is very chilled compared to my Dad. All Riley had to do is tell her Parents what’s upsetting her she constantly ignores them you can’t fix a problem if your Child isn’t willing to tell you what the problem is. If she doesn’t like Hockey she should have told her Mom she doesn’t like Hockey and she wants to choose a different extra curriculum. It’s an easy fix.
Parents tell Riley to breathe to stay alive :this guy this is a very strict rule that Riley must follow like what if she doesn’t want to breathe she should be free🤓
Hello? Is the police? Okay, uh… yeah. I wanna report a case of child abuse… uh, I saw a child in a kitchen with her parents, and I think they were forcing her to eat broccoli… yeah- wha- what do you mean that’s normal? That’s very unprofessional and bad parenting- no! It’s not an average thing it’s horrible! What the-!? He hung up on me!!!
Joy only really thought of Riley only feeling happiness which wasn’t good at all because if Riley didn’t feel other emotions she wouldn’t understand none 😭
If Riley's parents are at fault for anything, it's the insistence that Riley must be happy. She's always been happy, so when faced with an actual struggle, she doesn't know how to cope. Her parents figure she just needs to give the new town a chance and at no point try to consider what this is like from their daughter's perspective.
Not only do parents say this to their kids, but we say it to our siblings, friends and employees say it to customers, saying "have a great day", is a form of greeting.
If u think her parents are strict, you won’t stand a CHANCE in my house. 😰 And if I even say ANYTHING after my parents say smth, I get kicked out of the house, or get grounded for a YEAR. IM 11 GUYS! If I said shut up to my parents, I’LL ASK MY FRIENDS TO INVITE EVERYONE WHO LIKES THIS COMMENT TO MY FUNERAL
Aint no way this dude is saying it was strict for Riley to have a “good day” it wasn’t strict that’s what most parents say to their kids when they go to school because they want them to be happy, and they weren’t expecting her to have a good day or report it they we’re just hoping she had a good day there’s a difference, and what else did you want them to say “have a horrible day sweetheart hope you get thrown in a trash bag?” Seriously dude these rules are valid rules to have this video is so satire 😭✨❤
When I first watched the movie, I don't understand why Riley act the way she was the whole time. I moved from China to New Zealand at the age of 7, meaning completely new culture, new language, new environment. I struggled with English and was bullied at school, but I never made a scene in public like crying in class or make a fuss and quit a sports game. I always believed that my life was way worse than hers and I lived through it. Why couldn't Riley do the same and stop being emotional all the time? Although, looking back in time, I do agree that my emotion was quite shallow when I was little, my feelings were pretty numb.
its crazy that the thumbnail implies that riley gets whipped with a belt, when the most “abusive” thing that happens to her is when she’s sent to her room for snapping at her parents.
This guy must have never been told know has 💯 main character syndrome and thinks that being a kid and told to follow some simple rules is strict he might be a Kevin 😆
This is normal as I was the same age to Riley, except being forced to eat vegetable and moving the house......, plus I was punished with violences and swearings from my parents but now, I can still have some a little free time now as I do every subjects in the great to best level, not surprised that she wanted to escape from that situation. Haha.....
Oh my god, her parents don't spoil her and provide her with basic, healthy discipline so she grows up to be a respectful and successful adult??? TERRIBLE. ILLEGAL. WHERE ARE THE COPS???? (by the way if this is a joke, no shit, congratulations. So many people fell for it and you are the god of satire, good job)
In the movie when its showing the dad's emotions they are surprised they had to put the foot down meaning they never did and this was rhe first time he had to give Riley a punishment Also these parents do everything with Riley in the end of the movie they are cheering for a new team just because Riley is on it and are showing comforting her after a bad match strict parents would make her feel worse and keep guilt tripping her iver that match Because of this tought by the parents Riley will be great in the future and that "go to your room" is the parents saying take some time alone So therefore those parents who were crying about the movie being "too strict" are winning because they aren't good parents this is what you signed up for when you became a parent
broccoli is a really important vegetable for getting fiber and nutrient inside your body, it also includes the molecule C6H1206 which is a really important thing because it has natural sugar in it and can that way be healthier than things like candy or chips because those has few to none of the natural plant based sugar in them, One can argue that chips has C6H1206 because it deep fried potato but to conker that argument is that chips is so little potato that it does not make that big of a different. That way because Rileys parents made her eat more broccoli and vegetables they made so Riley would like those foods more and that way lead to healthier life style.
Having a student introduced himself who would do that having a go to your room whenever you’re in trouble, no one is ever done there in the world of Riley‘s. Mom asks why she’s not gonna finish tryouts you’re not let’s include that as a rule just so I can get more money.
My mom tried to grab the knife to stab me or grabbed the hammer that used to boink the pork to hit me on my head and my body for many times....and kept swearing on me but I use to it now.... There are more people that have worse situations than you, so you're not alone....
It was scientificly proven if you let your child not eat veggies then they'll naturally start eating healthy if a person has to many sweets they start to want healthy if a person has to much healthy then they want sweet and I am the evidence I was raised making my own food or choosing what I eat
