I have viewed your video and will be tackling this exact project on my '16 Legacy this morning...After pulling the wheel last night I had a couple of questions regarding the rotor detachment and your video had just the info I was looking for👍

I would have put some lube on the nut so theres less friction on the lugnut.

I have a 2011 Legacy 3.6R and this happened to me. I have two broke on the passenger side and one on the driver side...But this video is a life saver, I will be working on it tonight, thanks for your upload

You should probably link to a video about how to remove a whole hub and replace the bearings, since you just encouraged a bunch of people to go hammering out the studs...

Lisle has a tool to replace wheel studs. It centers the tool and you can use a impact tool to replace the stud. Replace the stud and lug bolt.

My 2012 Impreza was just the same, thanks for the demo of how to do it!

My 2012 Legacy has the same issue thanks to the pinhead at the tire store. I F#*ed up and left the parking brake set and wondered why it didn't come off. All's swell that ends swell.

They sell a wheel stud install tool that's like 14 dollars and its worth its weight in gold. I had to do this on the side of highway 395 last year when all but one came off while driving.

Woulda been easier to break that lug off with the stud cause it just falls out after a couple taps ( they did for me anyways 2013 impreza front driver side replaced all 5 lugs and studs) now I have one on each side that has broke on there own on the back tires! Thanks for the video wanted to see it first hand before to make sure I didn't have to mess with the e-brake system.

wasn't cross-threaded, was over torqued. This stretches the threads to the point that they bind. Subies only should be torqued to 85 ft-lbs. ( not the 'normal" 100 ft-lbs, or so )

Make sure if your doing this your brakes are not on like emergency brake.

How did you work the new one in behind the wheel hub? Is there enough room to work it in?

Were you able to get the old stud out and the new one in without touching the parking brake mechanism?
