I was a DJ at a stripclub where the city was trying to shut his establishment down, and he did the same exact thing when they yanked his liquor license, he made the stripclub side fully nude but BYOB (legal in this state), built a partition and opened the other side as a bar under a different name, they did other little tactics here and there, he beat the city at their own game each time. this was a good one!!!
That’s the sign of a true showman. Rabbit doesn’t even mention anything about a car, and yet still manages to hit homeruns. I appreciate all the entertainment you provide. #RabbitForWorldPresident
I lived in Reno, we had our own version in Joe Conforte. Eventually he got caught the normal way - by the IRS. Which brought the only humor out of the deal - the IRS took over the Mustang ranch... could only run 1/2 the place because the old building wasn't handicap accessible and to run the old side would violate the law.... 1st time in history where the IRS got in trouble for screwing.
I had a '53 5 window pickup when I was in the military in 1972 ~ 76. When I got it someone had installed a '64 Impala back seat that had a functioning speaker. The 235 motor had 1 bad exhaust valve and would occasionally blow smoke rings. All in all it was a great vehicle and made the 565 mile (one way) trip to PA from Illinois & back numerous times.
Reminds me of a city council meeting where this lady actually said “I know we don’t agree with these kinds of establishments in our community but don’t you think it’s a little rough to call them SOB’s” to which we had to inform her it that it means sexually oriented business not sons of bitches.
Rob, you remind me of my late Uncle, he worked on and sold cars all his life and the best stories I ever heard were from him while he was teaching me to rebuild small block chevy motors. Love the channel and stories bro!
Love all your stories!!! Between listening to your stories and Matt the camera guys'..... I know who this is!!! TG... You need to have him on to tell some of his stories!
My heart sank as soon as you said you think it’s sold already...Quit selling em so damn quick so we can have a chance! That’s my dream truck right there
LETS GET THIS MAN TO A MILLION EVERYONE!!!! Love the channel Rabbit I am nick named Donkey around my shop love the videos I keep watching and all the guys in the shop love it!
One of the local counties in my area got some of the strip clubs shut down because they made a new law REQUIRING all strip clubs to serve alcohol. A lot of non-alcoholic and BYOB joints were popping up all over the area because it's very difficult and time consuming to get a liquor license. So the local officials figured out that if everyone had to get a liquor license, most of the clubs couldn't stay in business much longer. They were given 30 days to comply but the liquor license process took 6-8 months. And if you can't pay rent on an empty club for that period of time, you'll have to close the doors.
I heard that a similar place in Wisconsin once had their liquor license revoked. They then jacked up the price of Coke, and the city pretty much begged them to take their liquor license back.
Awesome story .. I would have named it liquor in the Front and Poker tonight in the rear... Drove me a white a white Caddy and referred to myself as Boss Hogleg😬
Similar thing happened in Kingsport Tennessee with a strip club called the "Mouses Ear". Local shady government gave him all sorts of grief over opening. Someone burned the building that he was supposed to open up in, and shady politicians said he had to open by the date he said or lose his ABC license. This happened like a week before it was supposed to open, so he pulled a doublewide trailer in and stripped it to the walls, put in a stripper pole and a bar, and opened it up..... I paid his light bill and several of his strippers rent the first few months months it was open.....
I know most of the people in your stories not giving up no names though still do business with some of these characters know lot of stories of some of these fine upstate people
Yep. Me as well. Used to semi- frequent said club. Kinda liked being able to byob and rent the cooler. Just hated the local po po riding through the parking lot constantly and sitting in the medium just waiting on people to pull out. 1000 yards to I-85 was always a little cautious. Still can't stand driving thru the L-D-W area.
Years ago, on HHI, a strip club was closed down & , lo & behold, a church opened up in the same bldg. Always wondered how many members of the congregation already knew where the bathrooms were🤔🙏💴
