This song is so important and hits very close to home for me. It's cathartic and it helps to feel that I'm not the only one who's had to deal with this kind of household. Stromae writing it in the form of a lullaby is even more potent because even as an adult, we need this kind of comfort, because there are parts of us that will never grow out of what happened. Thank you, Stromae, for being strong enough to talk about real problems. Music is just noise if it is not meaningful.

This song is so touching! I don't speak French but in this case it's not a problem. Stromae is able to convey the message with his songs....so incredible. You don't have to understand his language to understand his art. He is pure ART!

I've been reading the translated version of all his songs and wow, they get pretty dark but are full of truth and surprisingly beautiful to listen to when he sings and visually expresses it. Looks like I've found another artist to add to my few favorite.

That song hits my everytime again, remembering me of my childhood in a extremely personal way. Been through this, had to listen to this, no physical fighting but holy hell the screaming. I wish I would have known this gorgeous song back than already. And with it the knowledge that this is not ok what's going on there, that this is not normal, that it actually could be different with parents who talk and love each other and don't only hold conversation by screaming. I've been listening to this song for about a week after buying Cheese, and this has been my favorite in the album. The song sounded amazing, although I did not know the translation. I found it today. I love the song even more now. Although I have never, thankfully, had to live through something like this, this song touches me and reminds me to be good to everyone.
